UCSI University Orientation

UCSI University North Wing campus

The week was interesting with HELP’s Orientation on August 27 and UCSI University’s Orientation on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Maxine Aw joined the University of London Bachelor of Economics degree programme at HELP College of Arts & Technology (HELP CAT) on Monday, while 5 other students recruited by EduSpiral as well, joined UCSI’s Orientation on Tuesday. I had met up with Maxine twice to share about the courses at HELP University and HELP CAT, once with Eddie Soo, who had registered earlier at HELP University and the second time with her parents at 1 Shamelin.

One of the students, Jason Ho and his father, Michael Ho, arrived on Saturday from Sandakan, Sabah, and I took them to his hostel at the North Wing of UCSI University. Jason is taking the Diploma in Electrical & Electronic engineering which is taught at North Wing campus. After settling down, we went for a cup of coffee. Michael was a doting father and asked many questions about the Orientation and other university matters. On the day of the Orientation, it started raining early in the morning, so I decided to pick up Jason and his father from the hotel to UCSI.

When we entered, there were already hundreds of students seated and the Vice-Chancelor, Dr. Robert Bong, had begun his address to the students and some parents.

The Orientation was televised live to the other UCSI campuses in Terengganu and Kuching, Sarawak. I left shortly to meet up with other students.
