Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2023 is set to take place much earlier than the previous year, starting from 5 December 2023 with the Practical Science Examinations or Ujian Amali Sains. The whole schedule of SPM 2023 was recently published on the official website of Ministry of Education MOE’s Education Board on Friday 18 August, 2023.

About 400,000 students will sit for the upcoming SPM Written Exam beginning from January 30 to March 7 next year. The SPM Exam Schedule or Jadual Waktu Peperiksaan (JWP) SPM 2023 is below as released by the Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia. The first SPM Exam paper will begin on Tuesday January 30, 2024 with BM Paper 1 & 2 and end on Thursday March 7, 2024 with English, Malay, Chinese & Tamil Literature and Geography 1 & 2. The last paper for Science stream students will be on Thursday 29 February, 2024 which is Biology Paper 1 & 2.

Peperiksaan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia 2023 akan bermula 5 Disember ini sejajar dengan langkah dirancang oleh Kementerian Pendidikan (KPM) sebelum ini untuk mengembalikan sesi permulaan persekolahan kembali kepada asal iaitu pada bulan Januari secara beransur-ansur. Peperiksaan itu akan bermula dengan ujian amali sains pada 5 Disember, diikuti ujian bertutur pada 8 Januari manakala peperiksaan bertulis pada 30 Januari 2024

The SPM results will normally be released in mid-June and students may begin applying for universities for their intakes from July onwards. Students who want to have an early start may use their SPM Trial Results to apply for the April/May intakes for Pre-University Programmes or Diploma Programmes.

Students will need at least 5 credits to join a Pre-University course or 3 credits for Diploma. However, if you have failed your BM or Sejarah, you should sign up to resit the SPM Ulangan held in September.
