Check UPU appeal status for admission to public universities (IPTS) 2015
UPU Appeal results
THE appeal status for admission to public universities, premier polytechnics for SPM leavers or its equivalent can be checked from last Friday onwards via five different channels.
A total of 134,846 applicants failed to get a place at these institutions.
Of that number, only 133,003 applicants were qualified to submit appeals. Another 1,843 were not qualified as they did not meet the minimum requirements.
The Education Ministry implemented an open offer policy with various institutions, such as its Matriculation Section and Institutes of Teacher Education, as well as sponsor agencies such as the Public Service Department and Majlis Amanah Rakyat that are also offering graduates programmes for SPM leavers or its equivalent.
Many SPM 2014 candidates will receive more than one offer.
An applicant’s success in getting a place depends on their ability to meet an institution’s general requirements and the programme’s specific requirements. These include achieving good academic and co-curricular results, having the right combination of subjects for the programme applied, and passing the interview or test for certain courses.
The availability of the programmes will be based on priority and space available at the institutions.
The Education Ministry’s policy does not allow any changes within or between institutions.
The offer given to candidates is final.
The appeal status can be checked via 03 8870 6767 (hotline); 03 8870 6777 (helpline); 03 8870 6755 (general); website upu.moe.gov.my or SMS by typing: UPU RESULTS [IC Number] and send to 15888.

If you did not get the course that you want, you can consider going for private universities which can be affordable with the PTPN Loan. Students with principals using Pengajian Am and another subject can enter into degree programs for business, hotel & tourism, IT, computing, mass communication or psychology.
Choosing the right university can be confusing and depends on a lot of factors like your budget, results, passion, skills and career goals.
