HELP University Business student part of global team of winners in the Maybank GO Ahead Challenge 2013

 

Ng Ka Jeng, a Bachelor of Business student at HELP University, together with her team mates from other parts of the region emerged champions in the Maybank GO Ahead.Challenge 2013. They won USD$30,000 cash and an opportunity to join Maybank in its Global Maybank Apprentice Program upon the completion of their studies.

The Maybank GO Ahead Challenge is an international business case competition to discover the brightest minds across the world

who are aspiring to embark on an exciting journey of career development with one of the leading financial services providers in the region. The competition begun in 2012 and was opened it to six countries in Asia. This year, it expanded to 10 countries namely, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Thailand, and China in addition to the previous participating countries.

Out of the overwhelming 8000 applications received from the 10 participating countries ( with 2700 from Malaysia), the top 50 contenders from 10 countries were handpicked to enter the grand finals in Kuala Lumpur 25 August to 30 August 2013.

These 50 finalists had from July onwards went through a series of challenges including online assessment, business case analysis and presentation and product design challenge.

HELP University is renown for business and accounting degree courses in Malaysia and offers scholarships for deserving students who have done well in their SPM, STPM and UEC exams.
