Talks by Industry Experts to Diploma in Entertainment Arts Students at KDU University College Utropolis Glenmarie
Those who were interested in Broadway, acting, and performing, had the chance to hear Ernest Seah live on a talk titled “Broadway

to Asia- A Performer’s Perspective”. Ernest Seah is an actor, designer and acting coach based in Singapore and New York. He has been performing for more than 30 years in over 100 theatre, film and TV productions, working alongside big names such as Robert De. Niro, Michael J. Fox, Jessica Lange etc.
Entertainment Arts Bootcamp is back! This time around, the session comprised of local celebrities namely; Amber Chia, Hunny Madu, Sharifah Aleya, and Kieran from Hotfm.
All of them are no strangers in the entertainment industry scenes. Participants had an insight on the industry from modelling, hosting, acting, grooming, broadcasting and the list goes on.
The KDU School of Communication and Creative Arts invited Dr.Samuel Wong to perform as well as to share with students about the Pipa.
The Pipa is a Chinese plucked stringed instrument, endowed with a highly expressive character and a sound likened to pearls

falling on a jade tray.
Samuel performed amazingly well with the Pipa, as he took the audience on his story-telling journey while playing it.
The performance was full of emotions and character. The lunchtime performance aims to inspire the entertainment arts students as well as those who are interested in the similar scene.
Irene Ang, or better known as Rosie Phua in the sitcom comedy “Phua Chu Kang Pte.Ltd”. This time around, the KDU University College School of Communication and Creative Arts invited her over for a talk on “Introduction to the Business of Artiste Management” at KDU UC.
She has a great sense of humour, brilliant pesonality, and humble in person! What’s not to love about her? We hope this talk inspires students whom are interested in the entertainment arts industry as well as to the business of artiste management.
Director and casts of the movie “Once upon a Time” came down to KDU University College. In this sharing session, the special

guests shared their experiences on-set, as well as topics on animation, movie board, editing, graphic design, costume design and set design.
This gives students an insight on how a movie is made behind the scenes, thus, giving a better understanding on film making especially to the Mass Communication and Entertainment Arts students. *Guest appearances: Director Silver, Jack Lim, Jeff Chin and Producer Josie Chieng
The entertainment industry, especially the theatre field, is growing strongly in Malaysia. Still an uprising industry, students are getting more exposed to the arts an culture of the theatre field here in Malaysia.
