KPM Bursary for Students with 9A+ and Above in the 2015 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination

Students who scored 9A+ and above in the 2014 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination will each be automatically offered a

bursary to take up a preparatory or pre-university course in the country. The Education Ministry in a statement said the bursary was to cover their course fee, and subsistence and accommodation allowance before furthering their studies for a degree locally or overseas.

“The bursary is given to the SPM excellent performers regardless of their race or family background,” it said.

The preparatory studies sponsored under the bursary programme are the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM), matriculation, foundation, A-level and international baccalaureate.

Students can check the offer through the online bursary application system on the ministry’s website at http://www.moe.gov.my from today until June 30.

Those offered the bursary need to read and understand the set guidelines and conditions for sponsorship, and to update their personal information through the online bursary application system.

Preparation Programmes offered by KPM Bursary are as follows:

A-Level Programmes in Malaysia

The A-Level preparatory course is a universal preparatory programme approved as the entry qualification to local and foreign

institutions of higher learning for the pursuit of a first degree. The course duration is 24 months.

However, eligibility to apply for admission to public institutions via the A-levels is limited to areas EXCLUDING the competitive fields (Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy)

Eligible students under the KPM Bursary will be assigned to pre-selected preparatory programmes at the designated preparatory institutions.

Please visit KPM’s website at http://apps.moe.gov.my/bursaryspm/ to update your student profile and to check the list of eligible KPM Bursary recipients. Acceptance of offer must be done before or on the stated dates, subject to the date of offer of admission to the preparatory institution.

Eligible students under the KPM Bursary will receive the following allowance and amenity:

• Funding of tuition fees in the preparatory institutions; and
• Living allowance of RM 430.00 per month.

Langkah 1

Pelajar yang memenuhi syarat dikehendaki mendaftar dan membuat semakan  sama ada nama pelajar tersenarai di bawah Bursary KPM.

Langkah 2
Pelajar yang tersenarai di bawah Bursary KPM dikehendaki mengemaskini profil pelajar Bursary KPM dengan maklumat terkini.

Langkah 3
Pelajar dikehendaki mencetak Slip Pengesahan Maklumat Bursary Pelajar Cemerlang SPM Tahun 2015 Ambilan 2016 sebagai bukti pendaftaran dan pengemaskinian.

Langkah 4
Pelajar dikehendaki membuat pengesahan penerimaan/ penolakan tawaran Bursary KPM serta mengimbas (scan) Surat Tawaran

Kemasukan ke institusi persediaan dan emel kepada bt.bursary@moe.gov.my

Langkah 5
Pelajar dikehendaki mencetak Slip Pengesahan Penerimaan Tawaran Bursary SPM Tahun 2013 Ambilan 2014 atau Penolakan Tawaran sebagai bukti pengesahan penerimaan/ penolakan.

PERINGATAN
1. Surat Tawaran Bursary KPM hanya akan dikeluarkan kepada pelajar setelah pelajar mengesahkan penerimaan/ penolakan dan mengemukakan surat tawaran kemasukan ke institusi persediaan.

1. Kegagalan membuat pengesahan penerimaan/ penolakan serta mengemukakan Surat Tawaran Kemasukan sebelum atau pada 18 Mei 2014 (Ahad) akan menyebabkan tawaran Bursary KPM ini terbatal.

Calon yang didapati memberi maklumat salah/ tidak benar/ manipulasi maklumat akan diambil tindakan dengan menarik balik surat tawaran dan dikenakan tindakan undang-undang. Maklumat ini akan disemak secara terperinci selama tempoh pengajian.
