The Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) at HELP University is a 3-year full time undergraduate programme at the Subang 2 campus. The degree course is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) with intakes in January, May, August and October of each year.

Entry Requirements for the Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) at HELP University
Applicants require one (1) of the following:

- Recognised Matriculation OR Foundation OR equivalent with CGPA 2.00 OR TWO (2) Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) Grade C (CGPA 2.00) OR TWO(2) Principal Passes at A-level OR equivalent AND a credit in the following at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level/O- Level OR equivalent:
- Additional Mathematics OR;
- Mathematics AND one of the Science, Technology or Engineering;
- Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Mathematics at STPM level/ A-level OR equivalent AND a credit in one of the Science, Technology or Engineering at SPM level/ O-level OR equivalent.
- TWO (2) STPM (science stream) OR equivalent with Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Mathematics AND Science/ ICT.
- FIVE (5) Bs in United Examination Certificate (UEC) including Additional Mathematics OR a credit in the following at SPM level/ O-level OR equivalent:
- Additional Mathematics OR;
- Mathematics AND one of the Science, Technology or Engineering;
- Grade B in Mathematics at UEC AND a credit in one of the Science, Technology or Engineering at SPM level/ O-level OR equivalent;
- Grade B in Mathematics at UEC AND one of the Science/ ICT, Technology or Engineering at UEC.
- Five (5) CPU passes with a minimum average of 50% AND a credit in the following at SPM level/ O-level OR equivalent:
- Additional Mathematics OR;
- Mathematics AND one of the Science, Technology or Engineering;
- Five (5) SAM / TEE examination passes with a university aggregate of 50% and a credit in the following at SPM/ O-level OR equivalent:
- Additional Mathematics OR;
- Mathematics AND one of the Science, Technology or Engineering;
- A Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Systems/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering or equivalent with a minimum CGPA 2.50.
- Any other Diploma in Science and Technology with a minimum CGPA 2.50.
Notes:

Candidates for category vi and vii with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process.
Candidates for category i (b), iii (b), iv (b) and v (b) need to take Mathematics reinforcement subjects with topics relevant to Computer Science at the beginning of their studies.
Students must pass the Mathematics reinforcement subject as a prerequisite before being allowed to take the relevant core course. However, this provision does not prevent students from pursuing other courses either core or non-core that do not require the Mathematics reinforcement subject.
Credits for Mathematics reinforcement subjects are additional credit to core subjects and can be taken into account for undergraduate credit.
Mathematics reinforcement subject requirements may be excluded if the Mathematics at the Matriculation or recognised Foundation or its equivalent offers Mathematics and its achievement is equivalent to / above the credit requirements of the Additional Mathematics subject at SPM level;

INDUSTRY ENDORSEMENT & SUPPORT
An Industry Advisory Board (IAB) was established by the Department of Information Technology (ITD) to ensure that the IT programmes offered are relevant and effective for its undergraduates; and to strengthen the department’s ties with the computing industry. The IAB consists of senior industrialists and professionals with local and global representation eg HT Consulting, IBM, Microsoft, TMS, DiGi and Gamonster.
The IAB advises on course content in the context of industrial trends and employment prospects, and supports ITD’s activities in placing undergraduates in internship programmes and graduates in employment upon graduation. The IAB also provides advice on research activity and opportunities.
