The Foundation in Arts and Psychology degree programmes will be at HELP University’s new campus at Subang 2.

To enter into the Foundation in Arts leading to the Psychology degree at HELP University Subang 2 Campus in Malaysia, students after SPM would need at least 5 credits in SPM including Mathematics and One Science /General Science subject.* including a pass in BM & Sejarah

Students after SPM or O-Levels interested in a career in Psychology can go for the 1-year Foundation programmes at top private universities in Malaysia instead of an external Pre-University Course like SAM, AUSMAT or A-Levels. The Foundation programmes are cheaper than the external Pre-U programmes and generally easier.

  • Overall SAM/ TEE pass with a university aggregate of 50%
  • Equivalent qualification

Entry Requirements for the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Flinders-HELP Joint Degree) at HELP University Subang 2 Campus

  • Completion of SAM with a minimum ATAR of 70.
  • Completion of A Levels
    • Applicants must have completed a minimum of 2 A Level and 2 AS Level subjects, with a minimum score of 7 for best 3 subjects (General paper and first language subjects to be excluded from this calculation).
    • Calculation of score for A Level subjects: A = 5,  B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1
    • Calculation of score for AS Level subjects: A = 2.5, B = 2, C = 1.5, D = 1; E = 0.5
  • Completion of STPM
    • Applicants must have completed a minimum of 2 or 3 subjects, with a minimum score of 7 for best 3 subjects (General paper and first language subjects to be excluded from this calculation).
    • Calculation of score: A or A- = 5,  B+ = 4, B = 3, B- or C+ = 2, C = 1
  • Completion of UEC.
    • Applicants must have completed UEC, with a maximum score of 25 for best 5 subjects (General paper and language studies to be excluded from this calculation). Students must also obtain a minimum of 5Bs.
    • Calculation of score: A1 = 1, A2 = 2, B3 = 3, B4 = 4, B5 = 5, B6 = 6, C7 = 7, C8 = 8
  • Completion of CPU
    • Applicants must have completed the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with a minimum of 6 Grade 12 University (U or 4U) courses or University/College Preparation (U/C or 4M) courses, with a minimum score of 65%. College Preparation (4C) courses are not accepted for this purpose.
    • The minimum score of 65% is calculated by computing the average score of the best six subjects.
  • Completion of HELP Foundation in Arts / Foundation in Science with a minimum GPA of 5 out of 7.
    • In addition, applicants must obtain a score of Credit of better for Advanced English.

And 3 SPM / O-Level credits (all students); with a pass in Bahasa Melayu (for Malaysians only)
** Applicants with equivalent qualifications may submit their certificates and transcripts to be considered for entry.
