Taylor’s Bachelor of Laws Degree is an LLB degree recognised by the Malaysian Bar and the Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia (MLPQB) for purposes of application of students to sit for the Certificate of Legal Practice Examinations (CLP Exams).

Taylor’s University Law graduands who complete all three years of the Bachelor of Laws Programme at
Taylor’s Law School will be eligible to apply to sit for the CLP Exams. Once students are successful at the CLP exams, they will be able to apply to chambering prior to being called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in Malaysia.

In the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) programme students will be learning both Malaysian Law & the Law of England and Wales. They will be well-versed in both legal systems through our dual-jurisdiction programme and be prepared to face a global and liberalised legal profession in Malaysia Taylor’s University has won many law awards and one of the best universities in Malaysia for you to study the Bachelor of Laws degree.

In addition, Taylor’s high curriculum standard is internationally recognised. CRELDA aims to provide an avenue for law lecturers in Taylor’s University to support and collaborate with each other to produce research outputs on legal issues in the Asian context.

CRELDA’s primary purpose is undertaking research and organising public discourses on contemporary legal
issues, in order to advance legal knowledge and develop the profession, ultimately benefiting the society
in which we live.

To this end, CRELDA publishes the Journal for the Centre of Research and Development in Asia (The
CRELDA Journal) every year.

Law Awareness Event
The Law Awareness Week serves as a platform for the public to address their concerns on various legal matters in areas involving rights of community groups, through the Legal Aid Centre at Taylor’s and participating Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

Community Service
Taylor’s students participate in raising funds for charitable organisations, visits to orphanages and community centres, voluntary tutoring of students, as well as other activities.

Taylor’s Legal Aid Centre was established to cater to the needs of the surrounding community, in collaboration with the Malaysia Bar Council. The centre provides pro-bono legal advice to the community, and as an avenue for students to gain hands-on practice in the legal profession.
