TLS prepares students to hit the ground running the moment they graduate, by exposing them to simulated real-world experiences and real-world practice whenever possible.
Throughout their educational journey, students participate in various activities and events designed to prepare them for professional practice.
Strong Industry Linkages at Taylor’s Law School
In the pursuit to groom legal professionals who are on par with the best, Taylor’s Law School continue to benchmark their curriculum against industry standards, through the Industry Advisory Panel (IAP).The IAP comprises the most prestigious law firms in Kuala Lumpur and the Bar Council, ensuring that teaching and learning initiatives at the School is of high quality and students are equipped with the required intellectual, professional as well as personal attributes that are demanded by the Bar and the Bench, and define the legal profession.
Taylor’s industry partners also provide support to our programme, through book prizes for top students, judging our Moots and Law Debates, sponsoring the School’s major events, and securing attachment and pupillage for our students in the top legal firms. Taylor’s Law School facilitates this process by creating platforms that allow our law graduates and potential employers to meet and interact.

Law Ball & Awards Ceremony
The Annual Law Ball and Awards Ceremony organised by the Taylor’s Law Society is attended by our law students, alumnus, representatives from legal firms, and members of the IAP, as well as the School’s staff and invited guests. This event is an avenue for current students to meet and mingle with their seniors and industry leaders. Our industry partners also provide support to our programme, through book prizes.
In order to ensure that Taylor’s law students are equipped with relevant skills to complement their textbook knowledge, Taylor’s Law School encourage them to spend their vacations on attachments with law firms, legal aid centres, the Attorney General’s chambers or Non-Governmental Organisations. The School actively facilitates these attachments through our extensive network of partners and associates.

Learning Beyond Borders
Taylor’s Law School organises various activities and events for students to foster greater international exchange and promote the understanding of global issues. Participation in these activities ultimately creates lawyers who are globally-aware and geared to excel on a global platform.Overseas Study Trips
Taylor’s University overseas study trips not only educate the students about foreign laws and legal systems, but also provide them with an opportunity to appreciate the differences between foreign and Malaysian legal institutions.
The Malaysian Law Summer Course provides an avenue for foreign students to observe and understand the Malaysian legal system, which also includes an internship placement at a local legal firm.
Reaching out to those who matter
At Taylor’s Law School, they believe that legal professionals are in a unique and advantageous position to uplift those who are less fortunate. As such, our students are taught to give back to the society and contribute to the community’s development.
Law Awareness Event
The Law Awareness Week serves as a platform for the public to address their concerns on various legal matters in areas involving rights of community groups, through the Legal Aid Centre at Taylor’s and participating Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
Taylor’s students participate in raising funds for charitable organisations, visits to orphanages and community centres, voluntary tutoring of students, as well as other activities.
Legal Aid Centre at Taylor’s University
Taylor’s Legal Aid Centre was established to cater to the needs of the surrounding community, in collaboration with the Malaysia Bar Council. The centre provides pro-bono legal advice to the community, and as an avenue for students to gain hands-on practice in the legal profession.
