APU signs MoA with Finterra Technologies to Set up Blockchain Centre to Enhance Students’ Learning Experience
Finterra Technologies Sdn Bhd recently signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), for the setting up of the Gallactic Blockchain Centre of Excellence.
The MoA was signed by APU vice chancellor Prof Ron Edwards and Finterra founder Hamid Rashid.
A statement from Finterra said, “As part of this collaboration, APU is setting up computing resources on the campus together with Finterra, to provide access to the Finterra blockchain platform for its faculty and students to develop the skills required for building decentralised applications for the next generation of digital users.”
It added that the Gallactic resources at APU will provide access to APU’s entire student community to the Gallactic blockchain technology, the Finterra HD Wallet and the Finterra Exchange.
The collaboration will drive the utilisation of Gallactic blockchain at the grassroots level and develop future developers certified on the Gallactic blockchain.
To further grow competency in the development of blockchain technology, Finterra will be taking fresh graduates as interns to work on the Gallactic blockchain with a view of offering full-time employment to work with Finterra in continuing to build the next generation of blockchain technology. — Bernama
