Asia Pacific University (APU) is the latest university to participate in the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. Under this affiliation, the Bachelor of Banking & Finance (Hons) programme of the university has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program.

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) is the latest university to participate in the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. Under this affiliation, the Bachelor of Banking & Finance (Hons) programme of the university has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program.
This program prepares students for the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation, which is among the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world. It is also an indicator that the syllabus of the Banking & Finance programme at APU is closely related to professional practice, as it also prepares students to sit for the CFA examinations. In addition, through the participation in this program, APU is eligible to receive a limited number of student scholarships for the CFA Program each year.
The APU Banking & Finance programme is a 3-year degree programme established and conducted by the School of Accounting & Finance. Within the programme, students can opt to specialize in Financial Technology (FinTech) or Investment and Risk Management. The FinTech specialism of APU’s Banking & Finance programme, launched in 2018 was the first undergraduate programme specializing in FinTech among Malaysian universities.
