Computing & Technology Degree Programmes at Asia Pacific University (APU)

​Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree:

  • 2 Principal Passes at STPM level and with 4 Credit Passes at SPM including Mathematics; or
  • 2 Passes with at ‘A’ Levels and with a Credit Pass at ‘O’ Levels / GCSE including Mathematics; or
  • The APIIT/APU Foundation or equivalent with CGPA of 2.0 and Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level; or
  • 5 Grade B’s in UEC including Mathematics; or
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 50%; or
  • Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with minimum average of 60%; or
  • South Australian Matriculation Certificate (SAM) with minimum of 60%; or
  • International Baccalaureate with minimum 24 marks;
  • Victorian Certificate of Education with minimum average of 50%;
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma with minimum average of 50%; or
  • A qualification that APU accepts as equivalent to the above.
    ** These programmes require a Credit in Additional Mathematics in SPM or ‘O’ Levels for entry, with K-12 (STPM, ‘A’ Levels or equivalent) qualifications.

Direct Entry to Level 2 of the Degree:

  • Successful completion of the APU Diploma; or
    Successful completion of studies in another recognised institute with academic credits equivalent to
  • Level 1 of an Honours degree.

Entry Requirements for Banking & Finance, and Quantitative Studies Degree Programmes at Asia Pacific University (APU)

Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree:

  • 2 Subjects with minimum Grade C+ at STPM level, and a Credit in Mathematics and Pass in English at SPM; or
  • 2 Credits at ‘A’ Levels and with a Credit in Mathematics and Pass in English at ‘O’ Levels / GCSE; or
    The APIIT/APU Foundation or equivalent with CGPA of 2.0 and Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level; or
  • 5 Grade B’s in UEC including Mathematics and Pass in English at SPM or equivalent; or
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 50%; or
  • Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with minimum average of 60%; or

Entry Requirements for Business, Management & Media Programmes at Asia Pacific University (APU)

Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree:

  • 2 Principal Passes at STPM level and with 4 Credit Passes at SPM; or
  • 2 Passes at ‘A’ Levels; or
  • The APIIT/APU Foundation or equivalent with CGPA of 2.0; or
    5 Grade B’s in UEC; or
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 50%; or
  • Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with minimum average of 60%; or
  • South Australian Matriculation Certificate (SAM) with minimum of 60%; or
  • International Baccalaureate with minimum 24 marks;
  • Victorian Certificate of Education with minimum average of 50%;
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma with minimum average of 50%; or

    ** This programme requires Passes in 2 Subjects, and a Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM/O-Levels or equivalent.

Entry Requirements for Accounting & Finance Programmes at Asia Pacific University (APU)

Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree:

  • 2 Principal Passes with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) at STPM level and with a Credit Pass at SPM including Mathematics and a Pass in English at SPM; or
  • 2 Passes with Grade C & Above at ‘A’ Levels and with a Credit Pass at ‘O’ Levels / GCSE including Mathematics and a Pass in English; or
  • Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid, and credits in Mathematics and a Pass in English at SPM level;
  • The APIIT/APU Foundation or equivalent with CGPA of 2.5 and Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level and a Pass in English ; or
  • 5 Grade B’s in UEC including Mathematics; or
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 50%; or
  • Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with minimum average of 60%; or
  • South Australian Matriculation Certificate (SAM) with minimum of 60%; or
  • International Baccalaureate with minimum 24 marks;
  • Victorian Certificate of Education with minimum average of 50%;
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma with minimum average of 50%; or

Entry Requirements for Engineering Programmes at Asia Pacific University (APU)

Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree:

  • Good principal passes at STPM level in Mathematics and Physics and 4 credit passes at SPM which should include a credit in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry; or
  • Passed ‘A’ Levels with Grade “D” in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry and 4 Grade C passes at ‘O’ Levels / GCSE which should include a credit in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry; or
  • 5 Grade B passes at UEC, with Mathematics and Physics with Grade B and pass in Bahasa Malaysia; or
  • The APU Foundation or equivalent; or
    A qualification that APU accepts as equivalent to the above.
