Entry Requirements into ACCA at KDU College Damansara Jaya
STPM or equivalent – 2 principal passes at STPM (Grade C or above) PLUS 3 credits at SPM (Grade C or above), including English and Mathematics.
A-Level – 2 passes at CGE / VCE A Level (Grade A-E) PLUS 3 GCSE / Vocational GCSE / GCE O Level passes (Grade 1-6 / A-C) in 5 separate subjects including English and Mathematics.
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) – 2 subjects with Grade A PLUS 3 other subjects with Grade A-C (including English and Mathematics).
Matriculation Certificate – A minimum CGPA of 2.50, including English and Mathematics

Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) – Pass ALL 9 papers in CAT. Exemptions will be awarded for ACCA F1, F2 and F3.
Diploma or Degree – Exemptions available, maximum up to 9 papers in ACCA.
ACCA programme consists of 4 modules with a total of 14 papers.
Fundamental Level (9 papers)
The Fundamentals level is divided into two modules; Knowledge and Skills. The Knowledge module introduces students to the core areas of financial and management accounting, providing the platform from which the other technical accountancy areas will be studied in greater detail. The Skills module contains six subjects which comprehensively cover the main technical areas that any accountant, regardless of their future career aspirations, is expected to have mastered.
Professional Level (5 papers)
The focus of the syllabuses at this level is to build upon the technical skills already acquired and explore more advancedprofessional skills, techniques and values that are required and used by the expert accountant acting in an advisory or consultancy role at a senior level.

Chan Tze Kang FCCA
Chan has been delivering Cost and Management Accounting as well as Strategic Financial Management subjects for various professional accountancy programs such as ACCA, CAT, CIMA for more than 15 years.

Paik Wan has more than 10 years of practical experience in the audit and assurance services and commercial sector, and is exposed in the fields of financial accounting, financial management, secretarial practices and taxation as well as other areas of management including human resources.
In 2003, Paik Wan made a career change and decided to venture into the academic world. Paik Wan lectures in financial accounting and taxation for professional courses ie. CAT and ACCA. She has also been trained in accelerated learning methods.
With her valuable corporate experience, she has managed to keep her lectures interesting with facts and real-life work related scenarios. Paik Wan is a caring, friendly, committed and dedicated lecturer. She possesses a great passion for teaching and caring demeanour towards her students.

Alex Chan graduated from the University of Canterbury (NZ), majoring in Accountancy, Finance and Information Systems. He has been an analyst programmer of a financial institution and a corporate finance analyst of a listed construction company. These have provided him invaluable opportunities to gain insight into the practice of accounting, finance and management, and enable him to complement academic knowledge with practical applications when delivering his lectures.

Yeong Gin Li ACCA, BSc, CIDTT
Gin Li is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She has involved in audit and assurance services before she pursues her career in the education sector.
With years of experience in lecturing, students will benefit from her teaching as her main concern is to ensure students fully understand the knowledge. Gin Li possesses a Diploma for Teachers and Trainers from Cambridge University. Having obtained the qualification, she has learned various methods of effective teaching and learning.
Mary Margaret Francis ACMA, CGMA, BA(Hons)
Mary is a very committed lecturer. She started her career in an aeronautical firm, gaining exposure in the corporate line. Having a passion for teaching, she committed herself fully in the profession and has more than 11 years of teaching experience. She has demonstrated the ability to clarify difficult concepts and to inspire students. She always believe in excelling in all that she does, helping students excel and progressing well in their academic achievements.
She is currently lecturers in Malaysia and Vietnam. She has conducted public and in-house seminars/workshop in Brunei for Ministry of Finance-IRB, Ministry of Defence-Royal Brunei Technical Services, TAIB and Shell Miri, receiving good ratings simply because of her ability to present the materials in a clear manner and to discuss theories and cases in a user-friendly approach. Laurence Kuek MBA, AAT, MCSE
Prior to entering the lecturing profession, Laurence started his career in the retail catering operations for a UK FTSE 100 company responsible for budgeting, controls, training and IT.
Laurence has since then continued his teaching career with one of the long established colleges in East Malaysia. With years of experience in the higher education industry, he has gained extensive exposures in teaching cost and management accounting subjects for various external examination programs including the ACCA, CAT, ABE and LCCI.
Laurence’s effort has not only benefited the students in the classroom, but also, with his specially written assisted learning systems, he has successfully increased the candidates’ pass rates in the Computer Based examination for the CAT and ACCA examination with the proof of several world prizes won by his students.

Mary Chan LLB (Hons) London, CLP (Malaya), Advocate & Solicitor, M Ed.(U. Malaya)
Mary Chan holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London, a Certificate in Legal Practice from the Malaysian Qualifying Board (CLP) and is an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. She holds a Masters in Education from the University of Malaya.
She is a very experienced lecturer. She first started lecturing law in the year 1993 at the Malaysia Institute of Management where she taught Contract Law. She has also taught Contract Law and Copyright Law for the University of Wales exams at the Ocean Institute of Audio technology.
She started lecturing ACCA – Company & Business Law in 1997. Besides ACCA, she had taught and produced prize winners for the Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountant (MACPA) exams.
She had also successfully prepared students taking the Company & Business Law for the Malaysian Institute of Taxation exams; and Business Law for the MICPA Conversion programme.
Edgar J de Souza LL.B (Hons)(UK), M.Human Resources & Industrial Relations (Australia), Certified Trainer (PSMB, M’sia)
Edgar holds a Law degree from Leicester University (UK) and has over sixteen years of experience in lecturing law for UK professional courses, such as the ACCA, CIMA, CIM, & ICSA.
