There are many colleges and universities in Malaysia offering the Diploma in Mass Communication as well as the degree which makes it difficult for students to choose the best university for Mass Communication or Mass Comm.

Mass communication is a process in which a person, group of people, or an organization sends a message through a channel of communication to a large group of anonymous and heterogeneous people and organizations. You can think of a large group of anonymous and heterogeneous people as either the general public or a segment of the general public. Channels of communication include broadcast television, radio, social media, and print. The sender of the message is usually a professional communicator that often represents an organization.

Students interested in pursuing a career in Mass Communication must choose a university where the student culture is one that speaks English. With an English-speaking environment, Mass Comm students can improve their English speaking and writing skills which will help them greatly in their career. People who work in Mass Communication will need to deal with the English media, write or edit press releases, write radio jingles, come up with advertising taglines, and more. Therefore, a strong command of the English language will ensure a successful career in Malaysia.
