A challenging programme, the study begins with an understanding of the biological and physical sciences as a basis for understanding the science of food and nutrition, as well as the relationship between nutrition and health.

Students will apply their knowledge of microbiology and biochemistry to find ways to improve the taste and nutritional value of our food supply. They will study the physical, microbiological, and chemical makeup of food.
