This subject introduces students to some successful advertising campaigns. Students will benefit from understanding how a campaign is planned – starting with the understanding of the purpose and plan of an ad campaign planning to the development of research information, budgeting and execution.
This subject focuses on the importance of a company’s brand, how to create and enhance brand value as well as how to manage the brand. The course blends theory, concepts and practice of brand management through lectures, exercises and case study discussions.
Integrated Marketing Communications
This subject synergistically blends the various marketing communications aspect (advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing and interactive marketing and personal selling) to effectively promote a product. Students will be required to apply this knowledge together with the understanding of the processes involved in order to plan and develop a relevant and effective IMC campaign. Besides lectures and tutorials, students will have ample opportunities to present their case studies and campaign.
This course reflects the current interactive media prevalent in our society today especially pertaining to internet technology (but not limited to this medium). It covers the understanding of basic fundamentals required in this form of direct marketing to the strategies and practice of interactive marketing such as social networking methods. Students will have the opportunity to develop an interactive marketing campaign.
