Steps to Register at Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA)

Please fill in the online form below and take pics of the following documents and email to info@eduspiral.com Make sure that you place your phone camera directly above the document in clear lighting and take the picture. Do not take at an angle.

  • There is no Application fee for MIA.

    • A certified true copy of actual/forecast/trial examination results.
    • Identification Card (IC), both sides.
    • 3 copies of passport-sized coloured photograph (Provide during Orientation).
    • Portfolio of a minimum of 5 drawings or paintings or designs (Not applicable to students applying for Music)
    • Music applications must include a certified copy of A.B.R.S.M. / TrinityGuildhall
    • certificate or equivalent

Intake Dates

The intakes are on April 25 and August 22, 2016.Please register early so that you can apply for the accommodation or hostel which runs out fast. If there is no accommodation left, you have to look for that on your own.

Entry Requirements

You will need at least 3 credits in your SPM with a pass in BM & Sejarah to join the Diploma. 

Additional Admission Requirements

1. Art and Design Programmes (Except for Music)

Each applicant must also submit a portfolio of art works

(A minimum of 5 drawings / paintings / design. Personal choice of media, technique and subject matter).

Size: A3 (420mm x 297mm)

2. Music

Applicants for Music studies must obtain ( a) a grade 5 in theory and practical for piano or Grade 4 in theory and practical for other musical instruments (a.b.r.s.m./ trinity guildhall certificate) or equivalent. (b) By audition.
