Choosing the Best Course to Study in Malaysia

Top 5 Things to Consider when Choosing a Course

Choosing the right course to study in Malaysia is to consider what you love, what you're good at and what pays well
Choosing the right course to study in Malaysia is to consider what you love, what you’re good at and what pays well

There are literally thousands of courses to choose from, and each university and college programme in Malaysia will vary on their offerings. You need to pick a major that your future self will thank you for.

Most great things begin with a plan. Your future career and studies should be no different. A plan will give you something to work towards. It’ll also help you make the most of the opportunities that come your way.

Students must ask, “Which is the Best Course that Fits me?” and not “Which is the Best Course?“. There is a big difference. If you just listen to everyone saying that this course is the best one without taking into account your own personality and needs, then you may have chosen the wrong one. It is choosing the right course that fits you and your future goals that’s important.

For example, engineering or medicine might be excellent choices but if your results don’t meet the requirements or you are weak in sciences, there is not point in choosing these courses.

There is not 1 best course to study. The best course is one that

  1. Fits your personality and interests
  2. Fits your academic results and ability
  3. Fits your financial ability to pay for the course
  4. Provides a job when you graduate
  5. Provides a job with high salary

No. 1 Fits your personality and interests

If you are considering a particular course because it is a requirement for your career path, it is hopefully something that interests you. Your interests are a fine way of determining the right course to study. I mean, if you like doing something, why not get paid for it, right?

Some students choose a course simply because they love the subject matter. If you love what you’re studying, you’re more likely to fully engage with your classes and college experience, and that can mean better grades and great relationships with others in your field.

An undergraduate degree course in Malaysia lasts three to five years – that’s a long time to spend studying something which you don’t enjoy, especially at a more intense level!  If the course is of no interest to you, it might be wise to either reconsider your occupation or find out if there are alternative areas of study that interest you more.

Some parents force their children to study courses that they have no interest in. It will be nearly impossible to do well at university while studying something that bores you. First of all ask yourself what you have enjoyed studying at secondary school in Malaysia.

No. 2 Fits your academic results and ability

I was interested in choosing a course that has high job demand & salary as well as meet my interests. EduSpiral gave me job reports & statistics to help me choose the right course. Bernice, Digital Marketing at Taylor's University

The area of study you are considering may seem extremely interesting, but you should consider if you have the right academic results and character to study hard to complete the course. Also, you will need to be able to consistently maintain good grades for the degree course. Look at your results – what are your best & worst subjects, and which subjects are your favourite?

Courses such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Engineering are considered “tough” courses. You need to assess your academic grades and personality to ensure that you are prepared to see the course through.

Abilities are what you are able to do, generally speaking. Understanding what areas you have skills in and which areas could use work is a great way to start the elimination process when choosing a course.

No. 3 Fits your financial ability to pay for the course

What is your budget for your studies? Discuss the budget for your studies with your parents. Why is this an important factor in choosing your course? It is in some ways as the cost of some degree programmes are expensive such as medicine, dentistry or pharmacy. If your interest is in any of these courses and your parents cannot afford to pay for them, you will need to choose another course that would fit into their budget. In addition, these courses are difficult enter into government universities even if you attain a CGPA 4.00 in STPM.

A Pre-University (Pre-U) Programme will cost from RM10,000 to RM50,000 while a degree at a private university will cost from RM50,000-RM140,000 for a business, communication or computing course. RM130,000 -RM200,000 would be the range for a Pharmacy degree programme while Medicine would cost about RM300,000 to RM500,000.

To study overseas for degree will cost from RM150,000 to RM200,000 a year including cost of living. It would be unrealistic to take the A-Levels or AUSMAT and desire to go overseas but find out that the cost is too much for your parents.

If this is out of your budget, then you should consider taking the STPM and going for Public University. If you do not have the finances to study at private universities, then just go for STPM. Note that STPM is extremely tough and takes 2 years of your time. You may not get the degree of your choice when entering into Public University.

Scholarships would be able to sustain part of your studies if your academic results are good however note that full scholarships are very limited and will require interviews. In addition, hundreds of other top students would be applying for the same limited scholarships.

No. 4 Provides a job when you graduate

I didn't know what to study after A-Levels. EduSpiral helped me to understand what I am good at as well as what's in demand for the future. Renee Tan, Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia

When choosing the right course to study in Malaysia, one important criteria that students after SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels should look at is the future job demand. Choosing to study a course that has future potential high job demand and salary would ensure that you have a higher chance of a successful career that would support your lifestyle goals. You don’t want to choose a course and then find out that there is no job demand for it or that the salary is too low without much career prospects.

We live in a time of unrelenting technological progress and innovation. Artificial intelligence and automation are changing the game right now, and it’ll only be more so in the future.

75 million job roles are expected to disappear by 2022 according to the “Future of Jobs Report 2018” by the World Economic Forum and another 133 million roles are expected to emerge. In addition, the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, automation, Internet of Things (IOT) and other technological advancement would impact all industries. The Industry 4.0 will change the kinds of jobs needed across all market sectors.

In other words, will you be able to easily and readily find employment in a related field after you earn the degree?  There is no point in choosing a course out of passion and then graduate to find out that you cannot get a job in that field.

No. 5 Provides a Job with High Salary

Will the course that you have chosen lead you to a career that provides a salary to sustain your future lifestyle until you grow old?
Will the course that you have chosen lead you to a career that provides a salary to sustain your future lifestyle until you grow old?

One of the main aims of getting a university education in Malaysia is to find a stable job so that you can take care of yourself and your family. However, nowadays, with the high cost of living, just finding any job will not do. You will need to find a job that has a high salary.

Students must weigh the consequences of choosing the courses that will eventually lead into their future careers whether the salary would be enough to sustain your lifestyle. You may be totally passionate about the course and possess the talent for that but if the salary for that job is not that high, then you might need to reconsider.

Sometimes, just because you are good at something doesn’t mean that you must work in that, you could do that as a hobby during your free time. You could choose a course that’s acceptable to you and that you have some talent and interest in that but pays well.

Future earning potential is worth considering because studying at a private college or university in Malaysia is a big investment.  One of the aims of getting a degree is to get a good job with a decent or high salary. This is to ensure that you have the finances to support your lifestyle.

When choosing a course, keep in mind of what kind of salary that you are able to accept for your future lifestyle. Nobody wants to struggle financially later in life.

And if you want to have a family later, it is important to keep in mind what kind of salary the career that you are planning to choose. Also, you’re gonna have to pay back the PTPTN Loan, and have enough money to buy a car, house, and travel!

Top Education Pathways after SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels

After completing your secondary school education, there are basically 3 education pathways into a degree which are:

  1. Pre-University (Pre-U) – Government
  2. Pre-University (Pre-U) – Private
  3. Diploma

The flexibility or degree options depends on the pathway that you choose.

Students who have taken SPM can either proceed with government or private university education while those who have chosen IGCSE/O-Levels can only opt for the private university option.

After SPM

Students after SPM are able to choose between government university or private university. Factors on which path will depend on the family’s financial ability or academic goal. If your parents are unable to afford for private university then you can take the STPM and apply to enter into government university. However, the course and university would be determined by the government. Those who have excellent results and active in co-curricular activities may have a chance to take the Matriculation pathway into government university.

The cost of private university education vary depending on the university and the course. In addition, students with good results may qualify for scholarships. The PTPTN Loan could also support your university studies partially.

There are pros and cons in the different pathways. You may fill up the Enquiry Form and we can discuss about it further.

When choosing the right course to study in Malaysia, one important criteria that students after SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels should look at is the future job demand. Choosing to study a course that has future potential high job demand and salary would ensure that you have a higher chance of a successful career that would support your lifestyle goals.

As the digital economy grows, Malaysia must be prepared to choose jobs that will be in demand in the future as well as still exist. 75 million job roles are expected to disappear by 2022 according to the “Future of Jobs Report 2018” by the World Economic Forum,. Furthermore, another 133 million roles are expected to emerge.

The youth unemployment rate in Malaysia, at 10.9 percent officially, is more than triple the national rate of 3.3 percent and has been gradually rising over the past decade. Unemployed youth make up almost 60 percent of the 504,000 currently unemployed. The prime reason for graduate youth unemployment is the mismatch of graduate qualifications with the country’s workforce needs. Graduate unemployment was 9.6 percent or 204,000 at the end of 2018.

Graduates being left behind, possess outdated information and lacking in relevant skills required by the industry, thus contributing to the rising unemployment rate. Therefore, if you don’t plan carefully, you may end up studying a course that has no job demand after you graduate. This would be an incredible waste of your time and money.

Here are the courses with future high job demand that our research show as having some of the greatest potential for students to choose.

I am a science-stream student.I have been wondering either should or shouldn’t I drop my add mt subject? i thought of applying for Interior Architectural or Architecture or Designs after SPM? does these courses required Add Mt? I actually thought of dropping Add Mt and replaced it with Art (since the I.A course required me to pass in Art Test) .. What do you think will be the best for me? is it either : dropping add mt and replaced it with art , or , not to drop it?

  19. I am interested in medical or engineering. Pls advise should i choose A-level or foundation in science. Which university offer twining course for medical. And which university offers scholarship for medical. What are the grading needed to apply for scholarship.

    1. To study medicine it is better to go for A-Levels. One only applies for scholarship after the A-Levels, so there is no point for me to tell you which universities offer the scholarships since you can only apply for them after your Pre-U. Scholarships for medical courses are very few and competitive.

  20. Hello i’m interested in Art & design area and I want to take either Graphic Design or Interior Design.. but my parents told me to study something related to Science since I am from a science-stream classes. What should I decide on?

  21. Hi, I’m interested in culinary arts and business management but I dont know which one should I choose. I would like to open my own business. 29. Hi, i’ll be sitting for my SPM this year. Can i study engineering if I’m an arts stream student? Which college offers engineering courses that don’t require the 3 sciences? Im interested in taking engineering degree overseas after that..

    1. You can join the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering at certain colleges with at least 3 credits including Maths and General Science with passes in BM and Sejarah. For more details, you may email me at info@eduspiral.com with your full name and mobile number.

  30. Hye i was a science stream student in SPM, and continued my studies in Foundation in Engineering. Now the problem is i recently graduated from the foundation course and my result is well below par. I am trying to apply for UPU but i think its pointless. My father told me to take diploma in maritime transportation instead, first i thought it was worth the try but i think its not the course for me. I would want to continue in engineering but is it a good choice ? Cause i’ve heard stories that engineers is a little too mainstream nowadays and if an individual grads from engineering course it would be hard for him or her to get a job. I don’t know if i’m actually good at engineering studies, but to be an engineer or a doctor was always my goal. I can’t be a doctor since i don’t have the qualification. I’m in a dilemma should i just take a leap of faith and try again to be an engineer or should i just take something else and start over ?

  31. I am from art stream i want to study forensic Science . Is it possible ?? or need to study overseas and my friend said that he is from Science stream but he wants to study Design is it possible . Need advice ASAP!!!

    1. If you want to go to the UK, then it is recommended to take the A-Levels. Or you can do the Foundation and then enter Year 1 degree before transferring to the UK for the final 2 years. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com stating the course of interest, your full name as per IC and mobile number. I will send you all the details.

  41. Hello, this is my SPM results
    Sejarah : A+
Maths, Biology, BM, BI : A
    BC, Moral : A-
    Physics, Chemi : B+, B

I actually plan to go for Law or Psychology but due to financial problem so idk what to do(i have applied scholarship but dunno whether can get it or not), so if i do not get any scholarship and i go for STPM are they any local UNI that offer this programme? Or any suggestion on what to study based on my result?

    Tq.

    1. Your results are not that great to get a full scholarship. First you have to figure out your budget and then you will know where to study. If finance is a problem then just go Form 6. You don’t need to worry what the local uni offers because you have 2 years to decide what to study.

  42. If I’m planning to start my foundation studies (In arts), is this will be a wiser choice than STPM? As you’ve stated that STPM leavers can’t choose the course that they want for. So, if one has to take STPM, then will this person has to think about future? I’m a guy which is getting confused whether in which field am I suitable in. If foundation courses are much better than STPM, so in which institute should I study in? Glad, to have the PTPTN loan for national students to further their studies.

    1. Going into private university also means choosing a university where the students communicate well in English so that we can improve ourselves for a better future. I don’t understand what you mean by a person taking the STPM doesn’t need to think about the future. IF you are confused, then talk to a counselor and take a career test. First of all, do you have the budget to study Foundation and Degree in private universities? If you don’t have the budget, then the answer is simple, take Form 6.

  43. Can i know whether is it valid to apply an oversea unuversity using foundation result? For an example study foundation in malaysia and use it to apply studying oversea

      1. ok tq if i want to take foundation which uni or college is the right choice to take

  56. Hi, I am a science stream student sitting for the SPM exam this year, and I hope to become a translator in the future, especially for English, Chinese and Japanese. What courses should i take after my SPM? And which college or university offers them? Thank you very much.

      1. Is it a must to take STPM to be a translator? No other options except from entering local university? Does any private university offers this course or something? I am not very confident with STPM and local uni… Thank you.

      2. Can I take A Levels? If can, which subject do I need to take? Do I need to take Physics or Science? are there other alternatives apart from STPM?

      3. Okay then… I’m studying in a private school now for SPM, if I want to sit for STPM, do I need to apply to Ministry Of Education to transfer school? What subjects should I take in STPM? Thanks again 🙂

  59. Hi. May I ask art stream student able to study Aircraft maintenance engineering? Does it required Science subject –> Physics?

  60. hi, im a 2014 spm leaver. waiting for results. im an arts student and im looking forward in doing marine engineering in ALAM Malaysia. is it possible? im very interested.

  61. My friend would like to study further more in beautician…….so in Malaysia which university provide beautician course????expecially in KL…what result should have to apply for it???reply back soon…

  62. I took SPM last year and now I’m facing problems wondering whether to go for STPM, A-Levels or just go straight into Foundation or Diploma. I’m also not sure which University of College would be suitable. I like maths and am interested in computers and possibly learning programming. I’ve been interested in courses like Computer Science and Software Engineering but I’m not sure what the differences are. Is there any advice you can give or anything you can tell me ?

    1. Oh and I’m also interested in perhaps learning how to make video games (hence, the interest in programming) but have had doubts because it doesn’t seem to have much of a market locally and may not have a good salary. What do you think about this ?

    2. Many good students have not done well in STPM because it is a very difficult course. If you already know you want to study IT, why take the A-Levels? There are many factors we have to take into consideration before recommending a course or university so we need to get to know our students first and then advise them.

      Software Engineering Vs. Computer Science
Both computer science and software engineering curricula generally require a
foundation in programming fundamentals and basic computer science theory. They differ in their focus beyond these core elements. Computer science programs tend to keep the core small and then expect students to choose among more advanced courses (such as systems, networking, database, artificial intelligence, theory, etc.).

In contrast, Software Engineering programs generally expect students to focus on a range of topics that are essential to the Software Engineering agenda (problem modeling and analysis, software design, software verification and validation, software quality, software process, software management, etc.).

While both Computer Science and Software Engineering programs typically require
students to experience team project activity, Software Engineering programs usually requires more team involvement as effective team processes are essential to effective Software Engineering practices.
In addition, a key requirement specified by the Software Engineering curriculum guidelines is that Software Engineering students should learn how to build software that is genuinely useful and usable by the customer and satisfies all the requirements defined for it.

Software Engineering is developing, designing and maintaining software systems that are reliable and efficiently carries out the tasks smoothly. The software system is created in collaboration with the needs and requirements of the clients. The software designed must be user friendly for the staff or customers to use. Software Engineering is an integration of computer science, computer programming, mathematics and engineering practice. Software engineers apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work.

Software Engineers need to ensure that their knowledge is up-to-date as technology changes rapidly. Computer software can be developed for any function for control and automation, manufacturing, business, and management systems. Restaurants use custom-made software to ensure their accounts are kept properly and orders for food can be made efficiently so that wastage is managed.

Computer Science is the study of principles, applications, and technologies of computing and computers. It involves the study of data and data structures and the algorithms to process these structures; of principles of computer architecture-both hardware and software; of problem-solving and design methodologies; of computer-related topics such as numerical analysis, operations research, and artificial intelligence; and of language design, structure, and translation technique. Computer Science provides a foundation of knowledge for students with career objectives in a wide range of computing and computer-related professions.

  63. Hi, i’m waiting for spm results. My parents start asking me about the course that i’m interested for my further study. And i still don’t know what to choose. I take science courses in spm, just because my parents want it. Can you suggest me some courses that was highly demand job in malaysia? I don’t care what courses it is, as long as after i finish my study i can easily find job. Hope you can help me and give some advice. Thank you 🙂

  64. I am a SPM leaver 2014 waiting for results, i like Physics Chemistry Add Maths and Maths. I would like to study for Engineering. Can you suggest me on which Engineering should I do to have a better future.

  65. Hi. I am a spm 2014 leaver. I am a science side student but I don’t really into sciences like biology, physics and chemistry but I like numbers. I have to study in science side because of my parents. So, after this, I want to do what I really love. I like numbers, designing, creating, writing. And I still confused on what course should I take?

  66. Hi I’ll be taking my spm this year in 2015 and i would like to pursue law. Can i use my trial results to apply for any A-levels program like BAC,Taylor and Sunway is offering. If so i can use my trial result , How many A’s should i get for my trials.

  67. Hi, I am a SPM 2014 leaver. During my form 4 & 5 time, i always get the highest mark for Maths. So is it okay if i choose to study in actuarial science? Or do you have any suggestion?
Should i take foundation in arts or in science if i want to get degree in actuarial science?
Does University Tunku Abdul Rahman is a famous university for actuarial science ? Or which university i should go for?
    Thank you.

    1. You can take the Foundation in Arts or Business to enter into an Actuarial Science degree. The best for Actuarial Science is Heriot Watt University Malaysia. To succeed in Actuarial Science, you need to be competent in the English language and should choose a university where the students communicate well in English. For more details on other universities, you can email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number.

  68. Hi, I am a SPM leaver and i intend to study diploma of interior design in Sunway, but after i finished it, can I use the diploma certificate to continue my degree overseas.. I haven’t taken any A-level . Does overseas university acknowledge local diploma certificate?????

  69. Hi ! Where I can study Geographic Information System (GIS) in Malaysia?? Do GIS has a bigger job prospects in Malaysia? What Degree course i can pursue to after I finish Diploma in GIS?? Can you please explain it for me? Thanks a lot !

  70. Hi
I’m waiting for my spm results,I love ICT and physics.
I’m considering with two fields which are engineering and computer & technology…can u suggest any courses that are suitable for me ?
I can’t decide whether to get into pre-university courses or a diploma course.

  71. Hi, Im a spm leaver 2014. I was an art stream student studied in accounting. But I knew I had made an impulsive decision by choosing art instead of science stream. Can i now change my path by study foundation in science or A level(science)? But I knw it may be difficult as I lack certain subs that will qualify me for entry. What can I do now?? Can you pls explain it for me? I really wish I could chg my path and stop redo the same mistake agn. Btw I am looking forward to study geology for my higher edu…
    tq so much!

      1. Can I study O-level? Or resit spm only for the requisite subjects (bio, chemy, physic)?? 100% no other way I can switch stream agn??

  72. Hi! What is the difference between matriculation and foundation? And if i took foundation or matriculation can i apply for american university? Would i have to start at year 1 in us or continue as year 2?

    1. You need to figure out what you want instead of questions that don’t make sense. Matrics is for entry to Public Universities while Foundation is for entry into Private Universities. If you want to go USA, then do ADP. Why would you want to go to an American University to study but go for Foundation or Matrics? Can you even enter Matrics? Only 10% spots are for non-bumis.

  73. Hi there ,
I was planing to do SAM after SPM results . Im a science student . I want to go for architecture course after my SAM but im not sure if i am choosing the right subject at SAM which is English , Physic , Chemistry , Biology and Mathematical studies ? Or must i choose Specialist Mathematics? Thanks😊

    1. It doesn’t matter as long as there is one maths. If you already know you want to go for architecture, you might as well go for the Foundation course at the private university as it would be cheaper unless you plan to go to Australia. In which case, you should check the entry requirements from the Australian universities that you are interested in.

  74. I just finished my SPM. My trial results are 6A+ and 4A. Should I start studying in January? I want to be a peadiatric. Which pre-uni course would you suggest to me? I’m quite interested in A-Level but are there other better options? Please reply as soon as possible. Thanks.

  75. Hi. I am a science stream student and currently waiting for my spm results. i am planning to continue in law study. I actually planning to go for nutritionist but i don’t like chemistry, my physics and addmath is really bad. so, i just wanna ask if i choose law and I choose to study in program asasi undang2 instead of A level and STPM, where would i go next after I finished my study in asasi undang? anyway, this is my trial results.

A = modern maths, sejarah, pendidikan moral
    A- = biology, bm, bi
    C+ = chemistry
    C- = physics
    E = addmath

can you also suggest others study that is suitable for me to pursue? because i’m kinda a little bit lost.

  76. im going to pursue in foundation of information, communication and technology at Universiti Teknologi Petronas. first, did this course is certicated? second, can you tell me my pathway if i pursue to this foundation because im not really sure what i would be soon if i pursue to this ict foundation. thank you

  77. Hello there..I’m Ayshwani..I got 5 credits for my SPM which includes english and bm..the rest subject are not at all good….I am considering TESL for my further studies…If my SPM result is not good enough..can i still take foundation in TESL?…or should I pursue STPM..and then go for the degree course?…Can I go oversea if my STPM results are good.?? ur help will be much appreciated..thank you 🙂

  78. if i chose foundation in science do i have to study biology subject? im seriously dont want to study biology subjects again. foundation in science is quite difficult right? anyway it is acturial science related to biology, no right?

  79. Hey,i need some advice on choosing the right path for my future choice to further on my studies,I’am a pure science student but my science subjects result are just average around B or C. I got headache when it comes to choosing between form 6 in science stream or should i go for art stream instead as I’m interested in business as well or should i just go for foundation/diploma instead of risking 1.5 years in form 6….some advice maybe?Thank you.Help seriously needed,my mind gonna blowwwwwwww!!

    1. If you are interested in business then just go for Arts Stream. If you have less than 5As in SPM, I would recommend that you just for the Diploma in Business. By the time you complete the STPM, you would have already completed the Diploma. The diploma will be something that you like to study and that you will do well at. The STPM is very tough and many good students also don’t do well in it. If you don’t do well in your STPM, you would have wasted 2 years. You may add me in Facebook at eduspiral@gmail.com to discuss this further. Cheers!

  80. hey, i’m spm 2014 leaver. i’m more to chemistry, add maths, maths a little bit of physics but not so into biology. can u suggest any suitable course and careers? i was thinking of biochemistry but i think food science seems interesting…. would u help me?

  81. hey im spm 2014 leavers, i hv not interest at all in biology but strongly love addmath, chemistry, physics. im so confused what to choose for my career neither engineer or acturial science. can you please help me?? does acturial science give me a job in the future or engineer does more?

  82. Hello, im not sure what should i do after spm . Im a pure science student . But i hope i can get involve in science field maybe architect . Im average in maths so is physic too . My bio, eng , bm ,moral and art is good but im weak in chemistry . Im actually very clueless right now to plan for the future .I think form 6 is too stressful if i still wanna remain in science subject. Any idea?
    Thanks 😊

  83. I am not sure what course to take after SPM.
I am interested to do something involved selling ( business maybe )
i am now a science student and my parent insist that if i study business next time, it is bad because business is the easiest course for the below average students.
they want me to take something else.

also may i know is there a bright future being a detective in malaysia>? and is it possible for chinese to be one

    1. You have to make decisions based on facts and evidence. If business is the easiest and for below average students, then there must be a lot of stupid people in the world. Everything in the world and in Malaysia are run by businesses and business graduates. If you say got future as a doctor, the reports say that there are too many doctors in Malaysia.

Detective? It is possible but the statistics don’t show that it is in demand or a high paying job. You have to choose a course that you like, and you are good at and pays well.

  84. This year for me SPM…..in trial i got an A in sejarah,C+ in BM,C in ICT and two subjects i gt E….I ‘m science student..i nt interested in pure science and i gt fail all my pure science subjects but the mark all above 20+….so what must i do nw???now my spm going on…after spm results came out what to do???so in tiz trial results what can i do??because of my brother this year only go university so next year my turn so my dad doen’t enough money so i hope u can guess me a course that do not burden my dad …atleast the course that u guess my dad can effort to paid Please…….Reply me soon.TQ

    1. I have no idea what your question is. If you don’t want to burden your father, you should have studied harder. You need at least 3 credits in SPM to join a diploma course with PTPN Loan. If you don’t have the 3 credits then just resit SPM.

  85. I don’t know what I want to be.. =( I’m from pure science class.. I got 8As and 1B+ for my trial.. btw, I got A in biology, physics, addmath and B+ for chemistry.. I love biology and chemistry and also overall of my subjects.. I would like to hear some suggestions from you what should I do to continue my study.. having my spm now~ thanks a lot!!

  86. what should i do after my spm? i am interested in writing in English and i wish to be able to publish my own book someday or even write for a magazine. However, my family is not very blessed in the financial department and i was wondering if you could enlighten me on furthering my studies without having to trouble my parents, Also, i’m more of a 6 A’s student though. Thank you and good day!

  88. Hi, i am interested in IT course but i heard they said engineering course is better and it also has high paid after graduate. is it true? which one should i choose?

i got A+ for my IT, physics and physics!

pls reply as soon as possible..thank you and have a nice day.

    1. Who are they that told you this? Did they provide you with evidence showing that engineers have higher pay than IT graduates? If you are good in IT, your salary can go up to RM10,000 or more. You should choose what you are interested in and is good at. If you want more details, you can email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number. Cheers!

  89. Hello i want ask that i am doing diploma in medical lab technology but i am very confused that iam choose a wrong decision at the same time now i get offer for form 6 which path should i choose please give me some advice and this is my spm results . I am science stream student so for my form 6 i get arts stream .
    BM – A
    ENGLISH – B
    SEJARAH – A
    MORAL – A
    MATEMATIK – A
    BIOLOGY – B
    CHEMISTRY – D
    PHYSICS – D
    ADD MATH – D

    1. You should choose based on your results which shows that you are very weak in the sciences and also choose based on what you are good at and your interests. If you are already doing your diploma, you should just complete it.

  90. Hello there! I scored A+ in Maths and Add Maths but B+ in three of my Science subjects.. At first, I was kinda interested in Pharmacy course but I’m afraid that I couldn’t cope up with the studies. Especially when I’m choosing Sc stream for my form 6.

But, in the same time I am also interested in Maths and Add Maths. Calculations, solving problems, etc.. So, should I change to Arts stream? And mind telling me that what do people actually do/study if they choose the finance course. Do we have to work in a bank if we choose that course?

I really need your help. Thank you and God bless.

  91. Hi there. I’m interested in pursuing my studies in Psychology or Forensic Science, with possible career options of being a clinical psychologist, a crime examiner, or anything to do with criminology and behavioral science. I am slightly interested in Law but I don’t think I have the patience for it …

I achieved 6A’S (English, Biology, Chemistry, History, P.Moral, Modern Maths), 2B’s (Physics, Malay) and 1C (Advanced Maths) in my SPM.

Is it advisable to take Foundation in Science then proceed to taking a local Psychology degree? If so, please suggest a reputable & affordable University. Also does the job prospects for this career seem promising?

Thank you & Sorry for the long enquiry 🙂

  92. spm result

  111. Hey, I’m sitting for my spm this year and i am interested in architecture and interior design. I was wondering which pre-u or foundation thati should take so that i can further my studies in america? And is there a linked university? Where is the best place to study architecture and interior design? What subjects is important in spm to get into an architecture and interior design school?

    1. USA does not require a Pre-U. After SPM, you will go directly into Year 1 of the degree for 4 years. You can go for the American Degree Program for 2 years in KDU University College and then transfer over to any of the 400 partner universities in the USA of your choice. Maths is important for architecture.

      1. If i enter kdu which class / subject should i take in order to study architecture / interior design? Does kdu offer hostel? After i go for the 2 year programme at kdu is it that i continue another two years of my study at america?

  114. Hello, I’m waiting for my spm results and with my trial results, I have obtained A+ in Sejarah, A in Bahasa Melayu and English and B in Moral and Maths. C in phy bio and chem and a D for Add maths. I wanted to do interior architecture and interior design but both of my parents are fully against it so I end up with two choices that were suggested by my dad which are Law and Psychology. For psychology, do I have to do a diploma programme or foundation? And which university offers a great psychology programme? If I’m certain to do Psychology, I’d want to be in an industrial and organisational psychology. I’d appreciate a quick reply 🙂 Thanks.

So I did not do my A levels well. I do not even have 2 principal passes to enter uni directly. I only have 1.5 credit AS and 1 credit A level.

The pre-uni requirements is 5 credits which I am short of in SPM.
Can my A level credits and my SPM results make up for the 5 credits needed?

    1. Advertising is a wide area with many job opportunities in the many advertising agencies in Malaysia. You can also work as a brand manager for FMCG, or in marketing & promotions. People who succeed in this line with a high income have a good command of the English language, are creative and possess excellent communication skills. Choose a university where the students communicate in English and you will be able to improve. If you are interested in such universities, then email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and number.

  125. hi…..i Mugesh,i am form 5 an accounting stream.I am confused with which course to choose.I would like to know which course is marketable,i mean like demanding??…..i am interested in nearly everything avation, engineering, finance, business, science….

btw, what scholarship should i apply after spm??? i really hope can pass spm with flying colours

    1. i got A+ for maths, add maths, arabic , history and syariah.. and A for physics chemist bio quran sunnah bm and english

  127. I just want to know, is psychology demanding in the few coming years? What’s your advices if I want to take psychology courses? My parents do not encourage me to major in psychology because they’re worried if i can’t get employed after I had graduated.

    1. If you really want to work in the psychology field, you have to go for the Masters degree. In terms of job prospects for Psychologists, it is alright. You can find work in the 500 private colleges and universities in Malaysia, or international schools, or you can teach. You can also work in Human Resources, banks, marketing, public relations, and more. You don’t necessarily need to work as a psychologist. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and number if you want more details. Cheers!

  128. I m SPM student this year.. and I intend to be a chemical engineering..but I am really confused of where should I study at due to quite poor financial support although I really wish to study overseas…anyway i would like to ask what scholarships I should apply?scholarships for just chemical engineering or scholarships for an A level?

  129. hello . im navin here . sir i have finished spm and continue stpm now . but i like to take diploma programs . but i confused to take which course to study . by the way i got b+ in maths and english , b in bahasa melayu and tamil , c+ in moral and c in engineering drawing and history , e in addmaths and fizik and g in chemistry . can u help me …..

  130. I’ve got 8As for my SPM, A+in Add Maths and Sejarah. A in biology, chemistry, physic, english and modern maths. A- in moral. B in Chinese and C+ in Bahasa Melayu. I’m quite confused to choose between science stream and arts stream in Form 6. Which one is better?

  131. Can i know bio n physics which could give me wider choice of career? What are the jobs in demand in our country n the world?

  132. Is it advisable for science stream student to switch to art stream student? I m studying form 6 and i found that form 6 doesnt suit me..thinking to change to ipts..whats the difference between finance and economic? whats is the job prospect for these courses? if i study business admin where can i work after graduation? whats about banking? if i study banking will i just end up sitting at the bank counter and work in customer service? which ipts in malaysia offer good business course?

    1. It is normal for Science stream students to switch to arts courses. Finance is the study of how money is managed and the actual process of acquiring needed funds. Economics is the study of the production and consumption of goods and the transfer of wealth to produce and obtain those goods. There are many banks, investment companies, insurance firms and more for you to find work at. You won’t be just sitting behind a counter as there are many different types of positions in a bank.

Business admin is general and you will study a bit about everything. You can work mostly in HR, Marketing, Sales, admin, etc. However, I would recommend Finance and Investment as a better choice. When you learn how money moves, you will know how to make more money and develop new ideas.

For a good business course, you can email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and number and I will send you their brochures. CHeers.

  133. Hi…form 5 now, want to study accountancy…..so which is the best option whether taking the cat>ACCA or diploma>degree in accountancy??…and where is the best place 2 take the courses?

  134. hi i’m kavisha …accuatly i got 2 A”s (english n moral) 2 B’s (bm n maths ) 2 C+’s(sej n chemistry) 2 D’s (BIO N PHYSIC) n i failed my add maths…. so wat course would u suggest me!! currently i am doing my form 6…i just want to “run away” from my form 6 :p

    1. It is a bit difficult to recommend without having gotten to know more about you. But looking at your results, I can suggest Mass Comm, English and Communication, Business, Finance and Banking, IT, or Accounting. If you want to find out more then you should send me more information about yourself. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and number as well as tell me about yourself, your interests, personality and hobbies.

  135. if i got you right ..you mean by i take diploma course first then i can go to uk or usa university and directly enroll into year 2? i forgot to mention i already prepare for retake spm this year on jun11 and 12 ..with if i successed collect 5 credit …could you tell me is any diploma in any college or university also can go to UK ..diploma in UK AND USA university is consider as what ?IB(international baccalaureate)?can you tell me?

  136. hi there my names is victoria…my spm result was very poor i think so…my math get e and my bm got d my only credits was english b+ ,chinese b- and moral b…if you mention about my personality …i am kinda shy and intreovert …i dunno very like the marketing that have to communicate lots with ppl…i was thinking about america degree transfer programme or twinning program…but my english pronounsation and writing not so good …my spm english also got b+ only …i know that i have to take the ielts or toefl exam if i wanna study abroad ..do you have any advice?

    1. With 3 credits, you can only take the Diploma course first and then only go to UK. You will need at least 5 credits to join the American Degree Programme. You will only take the IELTS before you go overseas so you have 2 years to prepare if you take the Diploma. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and number for more details.

      1. if i got you right ..you mean by i take diploma course first then i can go to uk or usa university and directly enroll into year 2? i forgot to mention i already prepare for retake spm this year on jun11 and 12 ..with if i successed collect 5 credit …could you tell me is any diploma in any college or university also can go to UK ..diploma in UK AND USA university is consider as what ?IB(international baccalaureate)?can you tell me?

      2. Your question is too general as there are thousands of universities in the USA and UK. You have not stated which course you are interested in. Have you talked to your parents about financing your studies overseas? I already said to email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and number if you are interested.

      1. So once i enter the july intake, the examination is no longer under edexcel and the examination is not modular anymore right? I got 9As for my spm, so how much is the total approximate fee after tuition fee is waived?

Can u let me know is there any scholarship of this courses?
my spm result is 8A 3B.

    1. You can go for the Foundation in Arts and then continue on to the Degree in Early Childhood Education. If you want to transfer over to the UK in your final year, it is possible. There is some scholarship available for you but is limited. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and number and I will send you the details. Cheers!

  140. If i want to study early childhood education, what pre school should i take in order to study at us or uk for my degree? Any other suggestion?

i have more than 5 credit for my spm result.

  141. hi, can i know whether the petroleum engineering in ucsi is accredited by MQA , BEM or EAC or not? how is the course structure..i din get the admission of utp so i m interested to study foundation in science and pursue petroleum engineering for my degree..do u hav any extra info regarding petro engineering in ucsi? bcoz i know there is no turning back after doing my foundation in science at ucsi..so i juz wanna make sure i make the right decision..with 9As, how much tuition waiver i m able to get? and the last thing, is the application closing?

    1. Hi, UCSI University’s Petroleum Engineering degree is accredited by the EAC and BEM (both are the same). The accreditation number is BEM/019/0820/M(001). All courses offered at UCSI are accredited by MQA or possess provisional accreditation. The Petroleum degree is accredited by MQA and the number is A 8931; 05/2018.

I do have more information. You can send me an email at eduspiral@gmail.com with your full name and mobile number and I will send you the info.

  142. Hi, I’m a 2012 SPM School leaver with 9As. I just wanted to know, is the Cambridge A-levels cheaper than the Edexcel A-levels ? And will I be able to apply for a scholarship into medicine after Alevels if I take 3 subjects instead of 4 ?

    Thank you.

    1. The price of tuition does not vary between the two Boards, it varies depending on which college. However, if you pay too cheap, then the lecturers may not be good and so you would not get the necessary input to score for your ALevels. Scholarships are competitive especially for Medicine, so taking 4 subjects would be an advantage, however, you can still apply for scholarships with 3 subjects.

  143. Hi,
i am switra. i am a 2012 spm leaver. i got straight a’s in my spm. to be specific i got A+ in eng,add maths, maths, pyhsics, sej, A in che, bio, moral, akauns and A- in bm. i have made my mind to pursue medicine. i did not get through matriculation but i have applied the rayuan. my parents want me to continue foundation in private uni since the reintake for matrics will take long. should continue to wait for matriculation or should i continue to study in a private uni? if i were to continu, which private uni would u recommend. my family financial budjet is just average, i don’t want to burden my parents or grab the finance that is supposed for my other siblings…. your help is much appreciated….. Thank You!

  144. Hi im graduate from diploma in pharmac.my pointer was 3.20.i would like to continue my studies in degree but not in pharmacy. So i need your suggestion in which medical field can i continue my studies.for an example nutrition, radiology or etc…thanx i need your help

    1. I am not sure as it will depend on your interest and career direction. It will depend on the exemptions into another diploma course but there will not be much exemptions. You can consider Food Science and Nutrition as the job scope is pretty good. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and number for more details.

  145. I got offer in both U’s…
    UTAR and UNITEN
Im so confused which U can I go for my studies…

  146. Hi,im a spm 2012 leaver…i got bm a+ ,bi a ,math a+ ,add math a- , bio b + ,phy b+ ,moral b+ , sejarah b+ ,chemistry c + and currently im kind of confused what course to choose, can i still take foundation in science? can u suggest any course for me??
    .

  147. Hi, I’m now applying for scholarship and planning to pursue my study overseas in medicine.I got straight A’s for my SPM (I took pure science stream). However, I found that most of international universities especially in UK, Australia and US require me to sit for English test like IELTS, TOEFL, etc. Do you have any recommendation on universities that use SPM GCE-O level( I got 2A) for the entry? Or should I take the English test (I’m a bit reluctant as it takes time & I’m now serving in National Community Service Programme). Thank you in advance.

    1. You sure you know the pathway to studying medicine? If you obtained straight A’s, then you should know that you need A-Levels or a Pre-University before going into the Medical programme. Obviously to study overseas, you will need an English test, there are no short cuts especially for medicine. You are applying for scholarship to send you overseas to study medicine when you haven’t even completed any Pre-U?

  148. hi can i know the difference between london a level and cambridge a level? which one is better? i m in dilemma of choosing college/uni also..can i know which college/uni offer a lvl with affordable fee?can i know the next intake for those who r intending to pursue a lvl?pls help me..thanks in advance 😀

    1. The Cambridge A-Level programme follows a staged assessment route to A Level by taking the AS Level in one examination session and completing the final A Level assessments at a subsequent session. Some papers are actually practical papers, in which you have to do experiments and answer related questions. The Edexcel A- Level programme follows a modular system. Most Edexcel A-Level students would sit for 1-2 papers per subject at the end of every 5 to 6-month period.

You can consider UCSI University or KDU University College. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number for more details.

  149. Hello.Im taking my SPM this year and am keen to do medicine.I want to study abroad and i think i can score straight a’s for SPM.But im quite confused if I should start my pre-U on Jan or wait for my results. If I fin my pre-U,lets say AUSMAT,can i depend on any scholarship to further my studies?I am not interested in applying for PTPTN either. Please advice me.Thank You.

    1. You can start your Pre-U in January if you want. I am not sure what you mean if you can depend on any scholarship to further your studies as you will need to score excellent results for your AUSMAT or A-Levels and then only apply for the scholarships. I can’t guarantee anything.

  150. Hi. Im Sharina . I’m a SPM student this year. I just thinking about my further study for my future. I’m a ICT student bt I got plan to study for business. The problem is I dont know much about business. Can you explain it ?

  151. Hi, I have 2 nephews: (1) Failed SPM but was awarded a pass in Science and Kepujian in Pendidikan Seni Visual. (2) Failed SPM totally. What could be their options if they want to further study? If (2) wants to pursue study in mandarin? Tq.

    1. You need at least 3 credits in SPM with a pass in BM to get into the Diploma or 1 credit with pass in BM for the Certificate. For other solution, I have some limited choices, please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with their full names and your handphone number. Note that there is no PTPN Loan for these solutions as they do not have the results, so if they do not have the financial means, there is no point also. Cheers!

  152. i’m studying A levels now and i want to go for architecture, but i heard in this case i should go to foundation since it is more specialised, i also heard many are struggling in their foundation after A level because what they have studied in A level was relatively unrelated to their foundation course, is that true? should i go for foundation? or i just stick to A level?

  153. I have finished my degree in bachelor in biomedicine with cgpa of 3.70. Worked as lab technologist n jus promoted as lab manager. I would like to continue my master in business administration. Is it a right choice? What programme shall i enroll under MBA?

  156. I preffered to study information systems..
Is it useful for my future…
Can I get a good job with the course i preffred..?
    Pls reply

    1. Information systems (IS) is concerned with the information that computer systems can provide to aid a company, non-profit or governmental organization in defining and achieving its goals. It is also concerned with the processes that an enterprise can implement and improve using information technology. IS professionals must understand both technical and organizational factors, and must be able to help an organization determine how information and technology-enabled business processes can provide a foundation for superior organizational performance. They serve as a bridge between the technical and management communities within an organization. Organisations such as banks, investment firms, universities, etc requires people to maintain their large databases. I am not sure what you mean by a good job. What is your definition of good? You can definitely get a job.

  157. hello there..
so is it that the ‘A’ Levels has no specific subjects to be taken up (meaning it has only courses which has been categorised into Science and Arts subjects)?

and if I want to choose medicine or maybe specified in paediatrics, are there any recommended and recognised universities or programmes for that besides IMU and Manipal?

for your information, my SPM result is 2A+, 2A-, 4B+, 1C and 1G.

  158. Hi I am interested to enroll in a Pre-U program in Arts and Design in New York. I have 6 credits for SPM, does this qualify me to enroll for a college there? If so, please recommend some colleges that can accept my entry requirement for a Pre-u course.
    I appreciate cooperation, thank you.
    Regards,
    Jo.

    1. You need at least 5 credits in SPM to join a university in the USA. They do not have Pre-U, you enter directly into the degree program. You should do more research. There are thousands of colleges and universities in the USA and hundreds in New York. You can go to MACEE to find out more.

  159. Im talking all of these subjects, Bm , English, maths, addmaths, history, moral, ekonomi asas , accounts , Science. Why do i need architectural studies for that? Please do let me know.

  160. Im currently studying A levels, i’ve been wanting to change to foundation (i’m pretty sure i want to go for architecture), is that advisable?( i heard that foundation is better in terms of preparation for uni since it’s more specialised)

      1. which private U in msia provides good diploma in architecture? what if i go for foundation in Taylor’s college?

      2. UCSI University has a good Diploma in Architectural Studies. I know you have sent me an email but I will need your full name and mobile number for my record. Please send me that and I will send you the brochure and other details.

  161. I got straight A’s in Spm. I would like to do degree in chemical engineering. Is that possible? If it is, where I can further my studies?

  162. ok i have juz finished my spm n i got 3A’S 3b’s n 3c’s..n i would like to study for medicine..n now i have a big problem …i got c’s in my science subject…which is phy ,bio, chem phy and bio i got c+ and chem i got c ok…now my question is what should i do retake my spm or do o level.?i really want to study for medicine please help me!!!!!

  163. Im in accounts stream. Im still 17. Il be taking my spm this year. Im good at science, maths, english , ekonomi asas and bm. Addmaths and accounts is tought but i think i can do it. I wanna go for civil engeenering since i like construction building.. So any suggedtion? Please help.

    1. To shift from the accounts stream to science stream is not possible. If you want to continue on to Civil Engineering, I am sorry that it will not be possible however if you are interested in Mechanical Engineering, I have a college and a university who can accept you into the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. You must get at least 3 credits including Modern Maths or Add Maths and Science. After the Diploma, you can enter into Year 2 of the Mechanical Engineering degree.

Another solution is to go for the Diploma in Architectural Studies with the same entry requirements. After that, you will enter into Year 2 of the Architecture degree.

  164. may I know what’s a certificate programme?
and is ‘A’ levels considered as a pre-U programme?
how many options are there to choose after completing the ‘A’ levels then?

    1. A certificate programme is for students with 1-2 credits in SPM. A-Levels is a Pre-U course. If you are taking the sciences in A-Levels, then your options are almost anything depending on your subject combination. If you take arts subjects then you are limited to courses in the arts like business, mass comm, design, finance, accounting, law, psychology, etc.

  165. hey i have only 4 credits in spm bm,eng, sej, moral, the rest are all pass n add maths fail..i have interest in marine or engineering

  166. My daughter got 6As & 3Bs in her SPM recently. All her science subjects she got B. Where she should apply beside UPU? She’s interested to study abroad in engineering (mechanical or chemical eng). At present she got offer from UniKL doing foundation in Science & technology – engineering for 1 yrs 2 mths. Should she proceed or wait for other offers from UPU? She also apply doing Dip in Engineering with GMI

  167. If i want to do teaching course in English subject.. What course shall i choose first, and which colleges provide English subject (tesl)

  168. I got my SPM result and quite disappointing. Got 2 A’s for my Maths and Additional Mathematics. I’m thinking what to study now. I want to pursue computer science or IT courses but i just can’t make up my mind. I want to know about these courses and where should I study. Thank you.

    1. Maths is a requirement for IT courses, so you are suited to study this. You do not need to worry which type of IT course to choose yet as you can go for the Foundation course first. You may email me at info@eduspiral.com.my for more information on the university and other details. Please provide your full name and handphone number.

  169. My son got A-Add math, B – Math & Moral, C+ – Physic & English, others C except D for Bio. He started Dip in EE fr Jan ~ Mar in INTI Penang but failed both Basic Electrical & Math for EE. Wonder he should continue with Dip in EE or go for Foundation or other subject. He is not good in art either. Noticed it always struggle with his study all these years. He is lost and we are lost as well.

  170. Hi.I got 4A’s for my SPM results and could I make it to study LAW for Form 6?I haven’t get a reply yet since I post from yesterday.Thank you.

  171. Hey, just got my spm results. 9A’s and 1B+. I am not sure what i’m gonna pursue my studies in. Accounting is nice and seems to suit me but I heard that the ACCA exams can be really tough. What am I to do? My parents on the other hand want me to do something in the medical line or even engineering. They don’t want me to waste my science subject that i took in spm….What do you think i should do??

    1. You do what you like and as long as the course can find a job with a pretty good salary, then it should be alright. You can always go for the degree in accounting first and with the 9 paper exemptions from ACCA, you can take the final 4 papers after you complete your degree. You can email me at info@eduspiral.com.my for more details.

  172. i gt 5A’s in my spm and im a science stream student . but my science subjects were not so good except addmaths. what should i do? continue study in Matric or form6? which one better? i need ur help… Thanks^_^*

    1. It would be surprising that you would be accepted into Matriculation with 5As. Form 6 is tough and takes 2 years to complete. It depends on what you want to study for your degree. Yes, you can if one of the credits include Maths. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number for more details. Cheers!

  173. Hi there, Im an ex Spm student with 5 credits, i would like to do teaching course. So should i do foundation first or diploma. Or any other ways to do? Thanx in advance 🙂

      1. If you are interested in Chemistry, then you can consider courses like Pharmacy, Food Science & Nutrition or Chemical Engineering. You can take the Foundation in Science first and then only decide later which one to choose. You may email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number for more details.

  177. Hi, Im Wayne here…i got 2As 5Bs and 3Cs in my spm result…what should i study…i have totally no idea…and im currently taking A-level…I’m very stressful…should I just drop out and choose other programmes?

    1. Normally I recommend the ALevels for students planning to take Pharmacy, Medicine or Law because it is quite difficult. It depends on what you plan to study in your degree. Sometimes it is better to change course now than to go through it and fail it. If you provide details of the subjects, your hobbies and interests, I can better help you. You can email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will give you more details. Cheers.

  178. Hi.. Im 19 now.. My spm results is bad 🙁 i have only 3 credits.. Wish to be an engineer.. But sadly can’t make it.. Shud i retake my spm.. Any recommendations? And yea doing the british council exam doesn’t require spm certificate??

  179. Hi…can i know the pathway of studying accountancy after spm???…should i do the foundation or the diploma or some other stuff?? And please tell me where is the best college 4 accountancy??

  180. Hello , Good afternoon .

    I need your help .
My name is kausilya , just finished my SPM .
    I got 3credits , but in bm D .
    My Results :
    2D in BM and BI
    2C in science , Geo
    1B in moral
    2E in perdagangan , sejarah
    2G in maths , ekonomi

Im seriously blurr with my result , Don’t know what to do :'(‘
Feel like i don’t have future after this :'(‘

  181. Hey there ! I’m Charles and I am a SPM leaver. It is already April and I still can’t make up my mind on what course should I take and I’m her asking for help. The feeling is killing me. All my friends, uncle and aunties are asking me that what I’m doing next and I am so blur. I don’t even know what to answer them. My mom is so worried about me. She is so worried that I would end up doing nothing. I feel so depressed. I can’t figure out what field that I’m interested in. I don’t really know what I really like to study. I have looked up in the internet and there are ample of choices. I’m really bad with decisions and I’m afraid that I might choose the wrong course and at the end regretting it for the rest of my life. I feel hopeless. I’m here so that you could help me. Any advice?

  182. Can i continue my degree in public university if after i finish my foundation programmed in private university?

  183. hey…i’m taking Cert in Business Studies in INTI Kuching right now and i am just wondering if can or anyway that i use this cert to learn computing and programing?

  184. Hi Sir/Madam/Ms:
My son’s SPM results:- 6C,1B but his Maths is E. He is quite interesting in TCM & i have sent the online application to Southern U but they told me entry requirement on Maths is C. Hope to hear some proposal from you, thanks.

  185. I’m looking forward to doing mechanical engineering.. I got 5A’s in SPM.. others all credits.. I need to know, what is the difference between universities offering cheaper degrees and universities offering more expensive degrees.. for example, UNITEN and MMU offer degree courses for about less than 80k but Monash and Nottingham offer the same course for about 150k.. I want to know what is the difference.. Is there any difference at all other than the price??

  186. i am spm leaver. Is it okay to take cat-acca course instead of diploma in accountancy? I got a- for my account subject. I was in dilemma right now………..please help me. I dont know which one i should take.

    1. It depends on you. Normally as a rule, I recommend students to take the diploma and then degree and then take the final 4 papers of the ACCA depending on the exemptions. This is because the degree will give you a wider view. If you take the ACCA at once, it is more specific to the accounting course and if you take the CAT and should you not be able to complete it, you don’t have anything. Where as if you take the diploma and stop, you can still go find a job with the diploma. You may email me at lonniesik@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number for more details.

  187. hi..i just finished my spm recently. i got straight A’s.
a+ for maths, add maths, physics and moral

im planning to be a chemical engineer. so i applied for utp’s foundation programme.
    1. do i have any other program choices other than utp’s foundation ?
    2. what career path is bright for a chem engineer other than the oil and gas industry ??

    1. COngratulations! You can apply to UCSI University’s B. of Petroleum Engineering (Hons) or B. of Chemical Engineering (Hons) course. It is accredited by MQA and the Board of Engineers Malaysia. There are plenty of choices in terms of jobs. You can work in plastics, metals, food products, perfume, makeup, rubber, and many more. You may email me at lonniesik@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number for more details.

  188. I am looking to study chemical engineering. Just got SPM results – all As. Thought of doing foundation in engineering. Where can i do this and what are the option i have? Can i get any scholarship to allow me do this in overseas?

  189. Hey I just got my SPM results yesterday and it’s quite bad actually because I got E for Add Maths! I’d like to do Foundation program. Am I eligible? But overall I passed! I got Two A’s and a few B’s and C’s!

i have no idea wat to do coz all da colleges r requiring atleast 5 credits..
    im confused..can u help me?
im interested in bussiness..law n any other uniformed association..

    1. You do not need to join a Foundation course as it requires 5 credits. The diploma is only 3 credits. You can join a Diploma in Business and then enter into Year 2 of the related degree. If you want to do Law, you will need to retake your SPM to get 5 credits and then take the ALevels. You will need ALevels for Law. Not sure what you mean by uniformed bodies, you mean customs or police?

      1. Hello I got 6As 2Bs 2Cs for my spm which is Sejarah A+ English A+ BM A AG A+ MT A+ Engineering Technology A physics B engineering drawing B chemist C and addmaths C. I wanted to take Mechatronics. Can u explain to me more about mechatronics(just wanted to see ur views) is it possible for me to get a scholarship like MARA? And is it possible for me to study abroad such as Japan or UK? If so. What should I study after spm?

      2. Mechatonics is basically a combination of mechanical, software, and electronic engineering with IT. TO sum it up would be robotics. You can apply for the MARA scholarship but would be competitive. You can go for the MARA Loan at Asia Pacific University where you can get a degree from Staffordshire University, UK. You may go for your final year or two years at Staffordshire University depending on your finances. You can go for the Foundation or PreU course first after SPM.

  193. Hi I’m Wan…. I got 1A only in SPM and the others are credits…. what courses can u suggest to me following to my base subject in Science Stream..?? Please Reply to me… Tq.

  194. hi , i got 6A 3B in my spm result . i love and eish to take a medic corse . but got gred B in my biology subject . can i take a medic corse ? i wish i can study medic in oversea like ireland or whatever country outside malaysia . can i ? how to apply medic corse in oversea ?

  195. hai…was wondering if a person has creditss for all the science subjects such as bio, chemi, physic and addmaths…would it b adviseable if she/he takes up a-levels and join bio-science subjects in order to take up electrical engineering??…….thanks

  196. heyy, i have just gotten my spm results and i got 7A and 2B. im in science stream and i really dont know what to do next but im hoping to avoid things with chemistry… any suggestions please, i will be really grateful…

  197. I sent an email to you. Lemme just comment here with the same email. I got 2 credits, English A, Islam C. Bahasa D, History D,E in Math’s Physics and Biology whilst G in additional math’s and chemistry. Pretty bad I know. But that doesn’t mean I dont want to further my studies. Im interested in Law and that’s UK Law not Shariah. However seeing my result it may be impossible. So I wanna know what can I do with these 2 credits. Thanks.

  198. im a science stream student i got my results today,, i have 3a(moral,sejarah ,maths) AND
    5B(chemistry,biology,addmaths,bm,bi)
    1 c+ in physic….
am i eligible to do foundation in engineering or foundation in science…
    pls help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  199. Further to above, he also got 2B+ for Add Maths and history and 1B for Islam Studies. Pls advise study options.

  200. Hello, i have 4 credits for my spm which is all core subject (Eng,math, science, history) and the rest of the subject consider pass so i was planing to go for my interest at Sunway ADP is it a possible chance?

  201. Hi. My son just obtained his SPM results today 6As in English, bm, maths, science, accounts and econs. He is not sure what course to take next. All I know is he is into computer games. Someone suggested actuarial science. Can you tell me what it’s about and what are its career opportunities? What are the other studies he should look at ? Also are there bumiputra scholarships available for him for studies at our local private or overseas varsities?

    1. I would say that Actuarial Science is tough and can be expensive. After the degree, he still needs to take 7-9 years to complete the professional papers from the Society of Actuaries. There are only 100 Actuaries in Malaysia currently so you can see that the demand is there, but difficult to achieve. I know of the best place to study Game Development but in terms of bumi scholarships, you can check with MARA and the Yayasan from your state.

  202. My son jst got his SPM results with 6A’s in english, bm, science, maths, accounts and econs and 3B’s in history, add maths and Islam. The problem is he himself doesn’t known what interests him. All i know is he is into computer games. Someone recommended him actuarial science. Can you tell me what is the study of actuarial science and what are the career opportunities in this field of studies? Any other suggestions besides actuarial science? Also are there bumiputra scholarships available for him?

  203. is petroleum engineering in ucsi accredited by mqa and bem??can i know whr the graduates will work after finishing the course?i heard that the work will be a bit risky and may be away from home if required..is that true?can i know wat is petroleum geoscience?and the difference with petroleum engineering?…is there another pathway if i wan to work in oil&gas industry?TQ..ur advice is kindly appreciated~~

    1. Dear Wilson, well, if you graduate with a degree in Petroleum Engineering then you will be working in the Petroleum industry. Of Course it will be risky, any job will be risky. My older brother graduated with Mechanical Engineering and worked in offshore in Terengganu, then he went to Norway, and now he is in the USA earning big bucks. Nothing has happened to him. I am sorry, I don’t know about Geoscience as that would be too specific and no one offers that in Malaysia. I would assume that it has to do more with searching for the oil deposits since it is Geo…

You can always study Mechanical Engineering like my brother. Anyway, why don’t you email me at lonniesik@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I can send you more details. Cheers!

  204. hi,what’s is the difference between banking and banking & finance??may i know the job opportunities for the graduates?is there any other courses for me if i wan to work in a bank??and which universities offer these courses?pls help me~thx~and sorry for my poor english 🙂

  205. Hi,im a SPM leaver..im interested to study biotech..trials i got 2 A+ in moral n maths , 6A in eng,,bm,bt,bio, chemi n sejarah while 1 B+ in addmaths n C in physic..i really dont know what to do after getting spm result..should i do diploma..? or there are other choices for me ? and 1 more thing.., many telling it is very hard to find job and earn money in biotech especially in malaysia..need ur help..thank u

    1. Hi, there are not many choices for those interested in Biology. Biotech is not the greatest but there are still jobs out there in Malaysia and Singapore. You will need to continue on to a Masters in order to work in the Biotech field. You may email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number for more details.

  206. Hello my name is amy.I got 3a’s=(bm,math,pnd Islam), i got 40 marks for my addmath and others, i got b’s…this is my trial spm result…my favourite subject is math, physic and chemistry…i also got grade a in curriculum.i want to be a Pharmacist because i’m interested In business and medicine(since i’m a science student from full residential school). But i have a bad communication skill esp In English language…i’m very interested in a-level, pre-university and scholarship and others that give me a chance to study abroad.but I’ not really sure…what should i do? Can u explain about these to me?…with my poor result what can I do to apply any one this opportunity? Am i already late to apply?

    1. You will need to be more specific with your questions. In addition, if your results are poor, you should not be talking about scholarships. Anyone can study abroad, you just need to have the money and the results. If not, you can consider studying locally. If you want to become a Pharmacist, you should go for A-Levels and then into the 4-year Pharmacy programme.

  207. hai . im dyla here 🙂 now im very confuse with all courses that i have to chose it . i do love couseling . im science sutdent . but i cant face it chemist, biology and so on . it hard for me especially add math . can u please show me the best course should i take ? tq

  208. Hi ,im wilson ..i just want to ask about the subjects that i need to focus in SPM if i want to be a engineer or a doctor ..thank you

    1. Hi Wilson…To study medicine, you should get 8-10As in your SPM including Add Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. For engineering, although you can join a Diploma in Engineering with 3 credits including Physics & Add Maths, or 5 credits including Add Maths & Physics for Foundation, you should aim to get As in both these subjects. For Chemical Engineering, it should be Add Maths and Chemistry. Why don’t you add me in Facebook and we can chat further. Please add me at eduspiral@gmail.com

  209. Hello, I’m from MRSM Tun Ghafar Baba and currently waiting for my SPM results and I kinda doubt getting those straight A’s. But I want to study law. Could you please explain the flow and options for me. Thank you.

      1. Oh okay thank you very much, may I ask, is A-level the same as foundation in Law? Which one should I do?

      2. If you want to take the Law degree and practice as a lawyer, you have to take the A-Levels. If you take a Foundation in Law, you will not be able to practice as a lawyer even if you graduate with the law degree. This is required by the Bar in Malaysia.

  210. hello..
    i am spm candidate..
i want to be a dentist..
can you please tell me the flow of education for me to take after spm…n i wany to study abroad..

  214. Hi,
If I only have 3 credits but I wish to enter to Canadian Pre-U which require 5 credits. What I suppose to do due to this circustance?

  215. I’ll be have SPM eXam this year.. And planning to not cntinue my form 6 just going to foundation/ pe-uniersity in taylors.. Can i?

      1. Foundation in business. As long as the foundation is assessed by the MQA, then it’s accredited?
I’m good at math. Any reccomendation?

  216. even for a training pharmacist also can get rm4000?may i know what r the job prospect for chemical engineer?thanks 🙂

  217. Hi, i’m Afiq, i’m one of the SPM’s leaver and still waiting for my result, i’m very confused right now on what kind of course that i’ll choose to pursue my study after i receive my SPM’s result. Besides, during SPM’s trial, i got 3A+ ( Bahasa Melayu, Sejarah and Pendidikan islam), 4A ( Biology, Mathematics, Prinsip perakaunan and English), However, i got B for Chemistry and C for Physic and Additional Mathematics as i’m not really good in calculation. Furthermore, i just wondering what kind of course is eligible to my trial result as the actual result is yet not been announced, because i’m extremely like to pursue my study in TESL or TESOL, but as a science stream student, i do really like Biology so much because i like to memorise rather to do calculation and the most important thing is that i do really want to pursue my study abroad because it has been my childhood dream to study abroad although that i’m not from a rich family. Related to that, is there any way for me to apply any scholarship and is there any chances for me to study abroad? and what course will suite me and my ambition is to be a lecturer, thank you so much and sorry for the long text..

    1. You can go for TESL. It is normal for science students to switch to arts. You can study hard for the Pre-U or Foundation and score for that and then try to apply for a scholarship to go overseas. If you want to be a lecturer, taking the TESL is the right direction.

  218. between chemical engineering n petroleum engineering which one is better??do u know how much is the starting salary for pharmacist??

    1. You can take the degree in chemical engineering but majoring in petroleum engineering, so you will have knowledge on both. The starting salary for the pharmacist is about RM4000. I asked 2 fresh graduates and they gave me the same answer. If you want more details on either Chemical Engineering or Pharmacy, you can email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number. Cheers!

  219. hi,i’m fionn. I’m waiting for my spm results. I have interest in teaching. I’d like to study Tesol, but i dunno where got provide this course for spm leavers. I would like to study SAM or Ausmat if there is no Tesol course for me. I want to study abroad. Which is better SAM or Ausmat? If i choose SAM,after a year can i continue my studies at any uni in Australia?

    1. HELP University and UCSI University offers this course. You can also join the AUSMAT and then go to Australia. AUSMAT is 50% exam and 50% assignment based and is widely accepted for entry into universities in Australia. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and i will send you more details. Cheers.

  220. I wanna ask about did AUSMAT accept by UTAR? Cause i wanna study Actuarial Science for my degree course. And are there any more university that offer this course in Malaysia? Can you give me some information of the University that offer this course?

  221. I have 4 credit in my spm. Can i take IT courses? What is the requirement to pass in SPM subject to take fot IT courses?Thank You. 🙂

  222. Thank you.
Actually, i still don’t know yet. What i know is i like to study Biology and i know that i need to study Foundation in science first but after that i don’t know want to choose what to further study? i know that biotechnology is good but i don’t know whether i will like to study it or not. The other options like biochemistry, and biomedical science, these choices make me confused. So, what should i choose for it?

  223. hi, i’m iwan..
i am interested in ICT but i do not know what course should i take. any suggestion?
besides, i am also interested in english but i am not interested in teaching. what course should i take then? still learning, sorry for the poor english. thank you 😀

  224. if i study foundation in science in some private university, can i still further study the degree programme in overseas, i heard that if we choose to study foundation, then we must continue in that particular university until we graduated. and i would like to ask about that foundation programme accepted in other country or not? if i like to study in Biology, except from the foundation in science, is’t there is any other options?

    1. Yes, that is generally true. It depends on how many universities that the college has requested for them to recognise. HELP University’s and HELP College of Arts & Technology’s Foundation programmes are recognised by quite a number of universities from UK and Australia.

If you like to study Bio, then Foundation in Science is generally the accepted way. What do you want to study after your Foundation?

  225. hi,im eden.i dont know what to study 🙁
i have interest in physic but im poor in addmath.what course should i choose?

    1. Hi, Eden, nice to meet you. If you are interested in Physics, you can consider Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering. However, for Mechanical Engineering, you should be good at Add Maths. What did you get for your Modern Maths? Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will send you more details.

  226. Hey, currently still waiting for spm results. But i still don’t know what course im interested in. Im nt good in maths. Any suggestions what course should i take? And i want to know more info about events management. If i want to study this course, need study foundation? Which college is better to study this course?

    1. Hihi, if you are not good in Maths, you can consider like you have said, Events Management. You can also consider Mass Communication or design courses if you are a creative person. You do not need to take foundation, you can go into the Diploma first and then enter into the degree. You will need at least 3 credits in SPM to enter into the Diploma. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will send you more details.

  227. Hey, i currently waiting for my spm results. But i still don’t know what course should i take, not sure what course i interested in. Can i know more info abt events management. If i want take this course what college should i go? Can study foundation?

    1. Hi, don’t worry, it is normal not to know course you are interested in. You can talk to me more to find out what course that would suit you. Events Management basically is learning how to organise small and large events. Large events like EXPOS or Trade Exhibitions held at the KL Convention Centre or meetings for large groups need specialists to be able to handle such a large scale event. From hotel bookings, food, presentations, to even the pens and paper, all need attention. You can go for the Diploma first before going into the Degree. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will send you more details.

  228. hey Laurie here, currently waiting for my SPM results. I’m not sure whether I’m interested with tourism management or accounting course but i would like to know more about it. what should i do after taking my spm result if I’m interested in these courses? I’m not good in maths and add maths, will be difficult and tough for me if i choose accounting?

    1. Hi, Laurie, seems like ou are also interested in Event Management. Anyway, you can always read about Tourism Management or Accounting on my blog, just go to the search function and type in and you will find the write up there. It will explain in detail. If you are not good in Maths then you should not consider accounting. Tourism Management is a very interesting course and Malaysia is focused on tourism and invests a lot of money to develop this area so the job scope for this course is pretty good. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will send you more details.

  229. hai . Im dyla here . seriously i have a big problem with my course that i will take in university . im a pure sc student but i dont want to continue with all sc subject . it is too hard for me . im interested with couseling course, im a person who like to comunicate with people, hear their all problems and try to solve rationally , besides i like teaching . i need your help to show and guide me which one is the best for me and have a good carrier .

    1. Hi Dyla, it is ok to switch from Science to Arts. A lot of students do that. Counseling is a good choice and fulfilling. If your English is good, you can consider taking up a degree in English as A Second Language and teach. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and also tell me a bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests. Cheers!

    1. You will need Min 5 relevant credits in SPM, English (compulsory) and any 4 of the following subjects below to join the A-Levels:
      Chemistry
      Biology
      Physics
      Mathematics
      Additional Mathematics

After A-Levels, then you can go into the Pharmacy degree course. The most popular Pharmacy degree course is at UCSI University. They also offer the A-Levels. If you want more information, you may email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number. Cheers!

  230. Thank you for your advice. Recently i also seen that biochemistry is a good field. Biochemistry and biotechnology which one is better, what would you advice between these two? What is the minimun requirement for the entry of biotechnology? Is’t that i should study foundation in science first if i want to study biotechnology? What the pathyway and which college or university may i prefer?

    1. Between the two, I would think that Biotechnology is better since the Malaysian government has invested millions into Bionexus to attract foreign companies to Malaysia to develop Biotechnology. You will need at least 5 credits in your SPM including Maths and Biology to enter into the Foundaiton in Science. I believe that UCSI University is the best for Biotechnology as they were one of the first to offer this course and their facilities are excellent. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will send you their brochures and other details. Cheers!

  231. Hi, I’m Natalie. I’m currently waiting for my SPM result. For my SPM trial’s result, I obtained 5A+ (Che, Sej, Add Maths, Maths and Moral), 3A (Phy, Bio, BC) and 2A- (BM, BI). I manage to study Banking and Finance after I have my SPM result. Honestly, I’m not really sure whether my decision to study Banking and Finance is a right choice or not as I’m also interested in Chemistry too. Should I go for A-level? What courses should I take in A-level if I decide to pursue in Banking and Finance? As I know, I should study Mathematics, Accounting, Economic and Psychology, isn’t it?

    1. Hi, Natalie, Your results are pretty good. I can get you a scholarship for 50% off from a university offering a UK degree in Banking and Finance, if you are interested. Banking & Finance is not too bad of a choice as there are many banks and financial institutions in Malaysia, so you can get a job easily. A-Levels is quite tough. You can go for Foundation at the university and then choose the degree after one year. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and hand phone number and I will send you more details. Cheers!

      1. My parents decide to send me to study abroad in singapore after I complete my pre-university education. I’m doubt that if I go for Foundation at Malaysia university, can I proceed to Singapore university afterwards?

  232. hi, I’m so confuse I dont know what course i should be taking to continue my next studyy 🙁
the stream i was taking for spm is Perdagangan, ICT and art…
what can u suggest me? fashion marketing or hotel managment or business maybe?
    thankyouu 🙂

    1. Dear Farah, it is normal to be confused about what to study. For students who are not sure of what is the next step, you can take the Foundation or Pre-U course first and take that one year to talk to your lecturers and course mates and seniors to find out more what suits you. You can go for the Foundation in Arts at UCSI University as they have all the 3 courses that you are interested in to pursue for the degree. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and hand phone number for more details. Cheers!

  233. hello, i am just finishing my spm exam and i am still waiting for my result. In my spm trial result i get 4A+( maths, addmaths, history, moral), 2A for (biology, chemistry) , A-( physics and BM,) B+ for BI. i still don”t know what to do after spm and where to study. The main problem is i cannot differentiate between ” A level, foundation, form 6 or diploma” which one is better for a science schme student? I love to study biology compared to physics and chemistry but i don’t want to be a doctor. if i love biology very much and i would like to further study about biology, but my english is not so good ( i can’t speak well in english and my grammar is bad) can i still further study in biology?? what course and pathway can i take. what job can i do…

    1. It is normal to be confused what to study and where. Normally I would advise students to take A-Levels only if they want to do Medicine, Pharmacy or Law. They can go for Foundation or Pre-U for 1 year before going into the degree for 3 years which is faster than taking A-Levels for 18 months. I advise STPM only if you don’t have money. If you like biology, you can consider Biotechnology. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will send you more details. Cheers!

  234. In trial my son got 3A+(Math,sej,moral), 1A(Add math), 2A- (BM,BI) B+(Bio,Chem) 1B(B.Tamil) and 1C+(Phy). pls suggest what course to take.

      1. Hey, i want to continue my study on business field after I get my spm result but i prefer to continue study abroad especially in Poland,France,German,US and UK.What minimum entry requirement on spm are needed so i can pursue my dream to study abroad?I have passion toward business management since i was a little kid.The only thing that make me happy is money. Many people say money cant buy happiness but they just dont know where to buy it.I took 11 subject this year but im not sure if i can get a decent result. What to do? 🙁
Help me.I really want to study abroad to enhance my dream becoming the best businessman on this universe. My parents are both teacher but i dont want to burden them to pay hefty sum of money to further my education on oversea.Recently, my sister got offer to continue her study on singapore but she got 4th place on the trial.Only the top 3 people around Sabah got the scholarship. She was really sad.I want to be her mentor and show her my pathway to success by succeeding continue my study abroad. Please help me.I hope to hear a good news from you soon 🙂

      2. Dear Eleazar, it is good to have dreams and to be successful. Money does not buy happiness but it does help a lot to make life happy. Business is a good choice. Scholarships are difficult to get and you must work hard for that. May I know what you got for your trials? To got overseas to study, you can go for AUSMAT, which is Australian Matriculation or A-Levels. For business, I would recommend you to take the AUSMAT.

It is possible for you to study partly in Malaysia first and then transfer over to UK for your final year or final two years. You can also apply for scholarships for these final years but depending on your results.

Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and hand phone number and I will send you more information. You can also add me in Facebook at eduspiral@gmail.com Cheers!

      3. To enter into AUSMAT or A-Levels, you will need at least 5 credits in your SPM. You can also consider taking the American Degree Program where you study 2 years in Malaysia and then 2 years in the USA. To enter, you also need 5 credits. Cheers!

  235. Hai, my son just finished SPM, but he confused between acturial science & engineering. He is excellant in maths & add maths. Pls advise.

    1. If he is confused, then he should take the Foundation in Science first and then take that one year to decide whether to go for engineering or Actuarial Science. But note that it will take him about 7-10 years after his degree to take all the professional papers for Actuarial Science and pass to become an Actuaries.

  236. hey im interested in study math i dunno juz like statistics/actuarial science. so i chose foundation in business in ptpl college. is it internationally accepted? becoz the college doesnt hav degress in actuarial science. any advice? i need help…asap…please! thanks in advance!

    1. Dear Grace, a Foundation in Business is normally only recognised by some universities within Malaysia. If you want internationally recognised, you should go for UNSW Foundation, AUSMAT, or A-Levels. If you are interested in actuarial science, why are you joining a college that does not have the programme?

      1. Because of financial problem, my parent couldn’t afford me to study overseas.:(
Plus im not sure whether i will end up interested in accounting, finance, actuarial science etc. That’s why im so confused right now. And i want a Jan intake. Now i haven’t register any courses yet, not even the foundation in business. So i would need much of ur help! :))))

      2. Dear Grace, It is ok to study in Malaysia as some of the private universities and colleges are pretty good. Since you are interested in the business courses, you can take the Foundation in Arts or Foundation in Business first, then you can decide on which degree later on, whether accounting, finance or actuarial science. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and hand phone number and I will send you the brochures asap to help you go for the January intake. Cheers!

      3. and also is actuarial science u would recommend me to study? cause i have heard from a counsellor saying that a/c is not really good in malaysia or smtg. i hv no idea. pls let me know more. thanks a lot!

      4. Actuarial Science is a good choice to take as it has good job prospects and pays well if you manage to complete it. But not many students know that after your 3-year degree, you will need to take more than 15 professional papers to become an Actuaries. There are a few professional bodies to take the exams from but most people choose the Society of Actuaries from USA. It will take you about 7-10 years after your degree to finish all these papers.

      5. So, i have done some researches. AS needs lots of times and money(coz overseas are better..)
Firstly, I would like to know if I want to take maths degree, then now im taking foundation in business. Is it okay?
Secondly, what if i want to take degree in human resource, foundation in business wont affect right? through what i looked up on internet, HR looks strange to me coz dont really noe what is it. Can u explain more how actually is it?
        Thirdly, is economist good? 🙂

      6. Dear Grace, where would you be taking your Maths degree? As far as I know, only the public universities offer this degree so I don’t think you can enter into public uni with the Foundation from private college.

Secondly, you want to take degree in HRM but you don’t know what it is. Foundation in Business can go into HR degree with no problems as it is related to business. Human Resource Management deals with the staff who are working in a company such as their welfare, pay raise, pay roll, training, firing them, promotions, discipline, etc. So, you will study about motivating staff, labour law, management, etc.

Economics is not too bad a choice but depending on how good you are. You will generally find work in banks and financial institutions.

  237. hello there,
I’m still waiting for my spm result and still in holidays mood but my parents keep on bugging me to find out more how, what and where should i pursue my studies. In my spm trial’s result, I got 4 A’s which is A for Bm & Eng & Sej , A- for Math, 2 B+ for Bio & Islam , the rest was C, D and G for phys, chem and add mts. My results were bad ;(
I’m interested Mass com , because I was a school mag’s editor. I would like to take journalism but my cousin said its gonna be hard cause you have to make long essays and reports. Could u suggest me courses other than journalism ? Do they have advertising or etc,
My dad in other hand wants me to pursue psychology which he said has more career path. I looked up on private colleges and they were dang expensive. Does local college offer psychology courses?
My mom wants me to take early childhood edu because im really good with kids.
The problem is that I love all the above courses but I hv to choose only one. I am not sure which university should i pursue? Plus i come from an average family and i’m scared tht i might not get scholarship, my dad will ask me to work for 2 years like my elder brother. I don’t want that to happen to me ! So can you help me with my problem !!

    1. Mass Comm is very wide in its scope and you can find jobs as an advertising executive, account servicing, copy writer, Public Relations, Events organiser, etc. Well, if you like to write, then why would it be hard to write long essays and reports. That’s a ridiculous statement. It’s just like saying it’s hard to be a doctor because you have to study Biology or it’s hard to be an accountant because you need to do a lot of calculations. If you like to write, then obviously you choose a job that requires writing isn’t it?

  238. Hi I’m Fatin Mazlan. I’ve just finished my SPM and still waiting for the result. I’m interested in Maths since I was a kid and addicted to the subjects up till now and thought of doing maths program but I’m not sure with that. I need some opinion. So what course for Pre-U programme is suitable for me?

      1. I’m interested with your suggestion of taking up Actuarial Science/Accounting but how can I get the scholarship anyway? One more thing, what is the minimum criteria of taking up foundation for SPM leavers?

  239. I am baffled about the difference between biotech, biochemical and biochemistry..what job is available for the courses?Undeniably, i love bio and chemistry. How about petroleum engineering?

    1. Not much job opportunities in Malaysia, maybe for biotech slightly more. Petroleum engineering has more job prospects but go for Chemical Engineering with specialisation in Petroleum. If interested in which university that offers this, please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and hand phone number and I will send you the brochures. Cheers!

  240. hello there.
i’m anna and just finnished my spm last month. i have no idea about what to take to pursue my studies. based on my trials,i have 7a’s(bm,bi,math,sej,accounts,agama, chemistry), 2a-‘s(bio and physics), 1c+(admath)
for the science subjects,i do have interest in chemistry a lot. i’m also interested in accounts as well.
could you please give me an advice how to
choose the right path after spm and what
    course should i pursue in?
i hope that you could help.me. thanks a lot.:)

    1. Your results are pretty good and you can qualify for some scholarship. If you love chemistry a lot, you can consider going for Chemical Engineering or Food Science & Nutrition. Both have good job opportunities. If you are totally unsure, you can go for the Foundation in Science first and then take that one year to decide on what to study for your degree. From Foundation in Science, you can still choose accounting if you want. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will give you more details. Cheers!

  241. i heard that biomedical is facing a bleak future…is that true??and where the graduates work??is there another outlet for me if i am interested in human biology??

    1. Graduates generally will work in the hospitals. There are many public and private hospitals in Malaysia and overseas so you can find jobs there. The other outlet that you can consider is biotechnology. I know of a pioneer private university whose graduates have no problems in finding jobs. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will give you the details. Cheers!

  242. i just finished my spm..now i m confused for choosing courses..can you pls tell me what career is high paid in the future??

      1. I got 8 As in my spm trial exam. I am interested in science and mathematics. What courses are suitable for me? Is studying forensic science is a stupid choice?bcoz i heard forensic scientists didnt get hired. Is that true??

      2. Forensic Science is still not popular in Malaysia and there are not many options available for you to work at except the Malaysian Police Force. You can always go for chemical engineering and should you still be interested in Forensic Science, you can go into that after graduating. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and handphone number and I will send you more details.

  243. Hi . i have 4 credits . but not having Credit for Maths . Is there any possible chance i could do American Degree Programme.? The other option for me would be Business (marketing). It would be better if there is any course which i could study in the States 😀 !

  244. Hello, my name is Maisarah. I have recently finished with my SPM and I have faired off with 6A’s 1B+ 1C+ 1C and 1D in my trials. I wanted to pursue something in Law/History or Accountings/Finance. I’ve done a few research on several pre-U courses and some scholarship in hopes that I am eligible to apply with my trials result. Of which I did managed to sent some applications out but my problem now is that I am utterly confused to choose between International Baccalaureate programme or A-Levels for Pre-U. My motherr on the other hand suggested me to take CAT in a local Uni but I wanted to go abroad. and I find that most scholarship requires the applicant to come from a family of at most having RM 120,000 per annum as their income. I am eligible in terms of my results and other criterias but I did not make the requirement in terms of the family income. My family faired off more than the income they set for the scholarship. And I have no interest in being financed by my own family for my tertiary studies. Can you help me?

P.S. Sorry for bombarding such questions to you. Your assistance is kindly appreciated. 🙂

    1. To pursue Law, you should go for the A-Levels while if you want Accounting & Finance, you can go for a diploma in accounting and then continue on to the degree in year 2. You can get some scholarship with your results. In the diploma, you may apply for the PTPN Loan up to RM8,000 a year while for the degree you can apply up to RM16,000 a year. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number and I will see how to help you. Cheers!

  245. Hi, i just finish my spm.I know i only strong in Physics,Chemistry,Maths&Add maths but poor in community skill. Will the problem affect me in future? If my BM credit, which universiti and courses are suitable for me & should i do politeknik first rather than in Form 6?Have any best suggestion for me?

    1. Communication skills are important to be successful especially if you want to become a manager or higher. With your results, you can consider engineering courses like mechanical, chemical, electrical & electronic, mechatronic, software, or civil. You can also consider courses in IT, biotechnology, food science & nutrition, or biomedical. Politeknik or Form 6 will not help improve your communication skills. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number and I will see how to help you. Cheers!

  246. hi im karrtinie here ,i juz finish my spm … i wan to be a pharmacist … wat is the qualification to be a pharmacist ??

  247. hi, I’m so confuse I dont know what course i should be taking to continue my next studyy 🙁
the stream i was taking for spm is Perdagangan, ICT and art.
what can u suggest me? fashion marketing or hotel managment or business maybe?
I’ve sent you email too 🙂

  248. i’m yao here..i don’t know what should i go to study. my spm result its: BM-B, ENG-C+, Mandarin-C, MATH-B, ACCOUNT-B+, ADD.MATH-C, GEOGRAPHY-C, MORAL-A, SCIENCE-A and SEJARAH-A
    have any suggestion?

    1. Hi Yao, your maths and accounts are not too bad. I can recommend accounting for that. You seem to like reading as well, from your Sejarah and Moral. You can consider Business or Law. However, in order to have a better idea, please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name, mobile number, and tell me a bit about yourself, your hobbies and your personality. Cheers!

      1. But I heard from my aunt, she said finance and investment have more costing subject, its that right?

  249. im renukha here….gud afternoon,,actualy im got study college at sunway cq tec im cannot to continue there becouse got hostel.bt i study 4 information system..bt my spm result its 1C,4E,2G can i continue my study at EDUSPIRAL ??????

  250. Well if i want to get into public universities for computer engineering, do i need to go for STPM first? Can’t really afford the cost for other courses.

  251. Hi! I’m Jason. I’m now sitting for my SPM exam. I’m science stream student. I’m planing to study computer science course. Any twinning programme for computer science? At least 2 year overseas. Can you tell me the pathway to meet my dream?

    1. Hi, Jason, hope you are doing well for your SPM. Yes, you can do a Diploma in Computer Science for 2.5 years and then go overseas to complete your degree in Computer Science at a UK university. There are a few universities that you can choose from. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number and I will send you the brochures and fees. Cheers!

  252. i heard that APU offered fondation in accounting , is it degree in accounting is quite though for a student like me , who is weak in maths ? can i survive for it ?

  253. hai there , i am murny , now , i am doing my A-LEVEL but then i think i cannot survive in it because of maths subject is too much hard for me , i got 10As in my spm last year and got c+ in additional maths , now , im prefer to change the college and take foundation in accounting , is it good for me or do yo have any suggestion that is more better than change the college and from A-LEVEL to foundation ???

    thank you

    1. Dear Murny, Normally there is no Foundation in Accounting, only Foundation in Business and then going into the Degree in Accounting. You could however go into the Diploma in Accounting and then transfer into Year 2 of the Accounting degree programme. Accounting is always in demand. Your result are pretty good. A-Levels can be tough and normally I only recommend students to take the A-Levels if they are interested in pursuing Law, Pharmacy or Medicine. Anyway, please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name, mobile number and tell me a bit about yourself such as your personality and hobbies. I can try to suggest other courses if suitable. Cheers.

  254. im rezh from kedah.. i have just five credits in ma spm includes math n basic science. well,im realy interested science studies but im a art student.. im realy wane do my futher studies. i like to be a software/comp engineer.. is it posible? can i study civil or chemi engineering or IT engineering? is it IT engi are demandable job? wer to study? im reDy to join. pls help me

    1. If you are from arts stream, it is not possible for you to go into engineering as you need physics, chemistry or add maths for that. You could still go into Software Engineering depending on your results for you Maths & Science. There is a demand for IT professionals now but depending on which field. Software or mobile computing would be good. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number and I will give you more details.

  255. Hi there.. im rezh 20 years old.im realy interested in studies..i like to be a engineer.but i just hv 5 credits in my spm include math n basic sience. others all just lulus atas. can i study software or comp or civil or chemi engineer? im ready to do hard working in my futher studies..well,im a arts student. can i get admission n may i knw wher to study?

  256. Hello,I’m planning to join Nirwana college for my FIS and is it well regonised in local universities in Malaysia? Can I continue my degree in any universitie for an example IMU with my certificate in FIS from Nirwana college?

    1. If you plan to take up medicine, it is adviseable that you study ALevels as it is more recognised everywhere. Nirwana’s Foundation in Science may not be recognised by IMU or other universities. I know of a few students who did not check properly and just took up the FIS from one college and found out later that the university that they are interested in, do not recognise the FIS.

However, if you want to go to IMU, KBU International College’s Foundation in Science is officially accepted by IMU. Please email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number for more details.

  257. can i know what is about Art & Design or Graphic Design or Multimedia Design?which career will suitable for this studies as well…tq

  258. i only have 4 credits wich represents for Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa English, Sejarah & Pendidikan Moral.the rest of the subject is pass except Add Math….What i should study for?

    1. Dear Nisha, what is your personality? Do you like to read? Are you an outgoing person? Do you like to plan and organise events? Do you like to help people with their problems? Please email the answers to me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number. I will then analyse your answers and share with you what possible courses you can look at.

  259. I’m interested in Art and Designing courses specifically in Illustration, but I didn’t take art stream while I was in highschool as I took account stream. So what do I do? Do I have to take accounting while furthering my studies, or take risks learning new courses? Or is there any other path rather than account?

  260. Hi my name’s Jolene. I’m only in form 4 but my parents are already telling me to find out what i’m interested in so that it’s easier to decide what course i can take after my spm. The problem is i’ve no idea what i’m interested in. I’ve looked up the internet and there are ample choices to choose but knowing myself, i’m really bad with decisions and i’m afraid that i might choose the wrong course and end up regretting choosing it. Any advice?

    1. Dear Jolene, don’t worry, there are many people like you. At your age, it can be confusing sometimes to choose the right course that fits us. In order to make a decision on the right course, we need to understand ourselves, what we like, what we are good at, and more. 261. hello, I’m a spm leaver and plan to do medicine in India. Do you think that Foundation in Science will be the right track for me? Foundation for which college will be the best as recognized by Indian universities?

    1. For students pursuing Medicine, the most accepted pathway is the A-Levels. Other than that, you can consider AUSMAT or SAM. Foundation in Science may not be recognised by the universities.

Anyway, if you for the diploma you can apply for the ptptn loan and then go into Year 2 of the degree programme and continue to apply the ptptn loan. What course are you interested in? Please email me at eduspiral@gmail.com for more details. Cheers.

    1. My dear, I think you are not the only one haha although it feels like it. I have talked to many students in your position. If you are still unsure, that’s ok. Why don’t you take a Foundation course. You will have one year to decide what course to choose. You can email me in eduspiral@gmail.com with your full name and mobile and we can discuss further. Where you stay? What are your hobbies, interests and your personality type? I can then advise you better.

    1. Dear Bryan, You can either take the Diploma in Hotel Management and then enter Year 2 of the BSc (Hons) International Tourism & Hospitality Management (3+0) from the University of Sunderland, UK or take the Foundation in Business and then go into Year 1 of the said degree. Please email me at eduspiral@gmail.com with your full name and mobile number and I will send you the details. 😉

    1. Hi, Adriane, it’s ok as it is normal for students to be confused about what they want to study. Please tell me the details of your results and your interests so that I can help to advise you on which field that would best suit you. 🙂

      2. With your results, I would suggest for you to consider Chemical Engineering, Food Science & Nutrition, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or Business. If you are still confused, then you can consider taking the AUSMAT or A-Levels to give yourself more time to decide. What do you think? Please email me at eduspiral@gmail.com for more details. 🙂

  270. Hi there
May i know How many credits to get in the Hotel & Tourism Management ?

I get 2 credits in spm..

    1. You will need 3 credits in SPM to join the Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism. With 2 credits and a pass in BM you can join the Certificate in Business course first and then go into the Diploma. This is a reputable college with excellent facilities. Please email me at eduspiral@gmail.com for more information. 🙂

  271. i scored 3b & 2a in my gce o levels, included maths & english but no science subjects. can i proceed to undergraduate degree course, perhaps accountancy or economics.. banking finance etc. thank you.

  272. And,i would love to know more info from you,so .. thats it,im waiting for ur reply Mr/ms/mrs.

    thank u,
    sharmi..

    1. Dear Sharmi,

When you say he failed his SPM, does it mean that he has no credit at all? If not, he cannot enter a diploma programme or cert. He can go for the JPK Level 1 vocational course if he wants. They offer different types of courses like culinary, hotel, front office, automotive, etc. What is he interested in? You may email me at eduspiral@gmail.com

  273. ucsi just offerd diploma of architecture,am i right?i desire to get bachelor of architecture which include part1&2 program and accreditated by LAM&MQA,base on that, which private-u have provided?and how ablut lim kok wing-U?…..or local U is more better than other private U?tq

    1. UCSI offers the diploma and degree and is accredited by MQA. LAM does not recognise any private university, only the public university. However, graduates from the private universities need only to submit their portfolio and sit for the exam from LAM. It is not a matter of whether local U or private U is better, it is just which one suits your needs and you do know that even if you take STPM, you may not get the course that you want in local U.

  274. i gt 6a in spm, where should i study if i would like to pursue for architecture, and should i study in form6 or private-U ,which one is better?and where private-U is best for architecture?

    1. Dear Sharmila, EduSpiral is not a college 🙂 We represent a few colleges and help recruit students for them. We give free counseling to help students choose the right college. With 1 credit, you can do a certificate in business for 1 year and the go on to diploma for 2 years. The next intake is on April 9 so you should decide quick. You may email me at eduspiral@gmail.com 🙂

    1. Without any credits, I can only recommend the LCCI Accounting course after which you can continue on to the ACCA. You can consider taking up a vocational course where you will get the MLVK certificate. You can study automotive, hairstylist, or culinary.
