2026 Scholarships For Pre-University, Foundation & Diploma Programmes at the Best Private Universities & Colleges in Malaysia
Top SPM 2025 students with excellent results in their trial exams may apply for the scholarships for the Pre-University, Foundation or Diploma programmes for the March, April, May or June Intakes.
You need to submit the following documents and also pay the Registration Fee for the particular university to confirm the scholarship. SPM Forecast results are also accepted by some universities in Malaysia for scholarship application.

Applying for Scholarships to Private Universities in Malaysia

Students applying for scholarships should take note of the deadlines and submit their applications accordingly. Applications submitted after the deadline would not be considered so do plan ahead. Read the scholarship application form well and obtain all the necessary documents and get them certified. Fill up the application form neatly.
Many top students tend to want to wait for the government scholarships and then if they didn’t get them, to try for scholarships from private companies and then finally only try for the scholarships at private universities. The problem with this, is that by the time you try for the scholarships for private universities, they may have closed by then and you would end up with no scholarship.
Generally, scholarships are applicable for the year that your results are released. Most private universities do not offer scholarships to students whose results were 3 years old or more.
If you are serious about getting the scholarship, you should prepare yourself well to handle the Scholarship Interviews. Prepare a list of answers to the possible questions that the interviewers may ask you. Be truthful and genuine. Practice before you go for the interview.

Yes, you can if you join the April intake however if your actual SPM result doesn’t meet the entry requirements, you will have to stop.
