
Recognised Law (LLB) Programme at HELP University Malaysia
Founded in 1986, it is one of the country’s first private law schools and has been the trend setter in private legal education in Malaysia. 2009 also saw the Department expanding by introducing its own Bachelor of Laws degree and in 2012, the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
HELP University offers its own home-grown LLB programme known as the HELP Bachelor of Laws (Honours) which can be completed entirely at HELP University. The LLB programe is recognised by the Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board. Graduates of HELP’s LLB programme are eligible to pursue the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
Graduates who complete the HELP LLB degree will also be granted the opportunity to enrol in selected postgraduate Master’s programmes at the ELM Graduate School.

Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at HELP University
The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree programmes is offered at HELP’s Damansara campus. It is a full time undergraduate programme lasting 3 years. Intakes for the degree programme are in January, May , August of each year.
Students after SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels planning to pursue the Law programme at HELP University may go for the 1-year Foundation in Arts and then achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.00 before qualifying to enter the Law degree.
Programme Detail for the Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at HELP University
- 1 hour of lectures and 1 hour of tutorials per week for each subject with additional of 21 hours of e-learning activities in a long semester (14 weeks) 6 hours of workshop per week for practical subject in a
- short semester (7 weeks) 2 hours of lectures and 2 hours of tutorials per week for a substantive subject in a short semester (7 weeks)
- 3 semesters per academic year with two (2) long semester (14 weeks) and one (1) short
- Assessment: Assignment 20%
- Final written examination 80%
- Practical Subjects:
- Legal Skills : Assignment 20% , Practical Assessment 50%, Final Examination 30%
- Legal Practice : Assignment 20%, Practical Assessment 40%, Final Examination 40%”
Entry Requirements
- MUET band 4
AND any of the following
- A pass in STPM, with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any TWO (2) subjects; or any equivalent qualification; OR
- A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid (good);
- Any qualifications equivalent to Diploma (Level 4, MQF); or any equivalent qualification;
- Matriculation/Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0; or any equivalent qualification.
