A lot of students assume that all Diploma in Computer Science courses at the universities are the same. They are not. It is important when choosing the Diploma in Computer Science, to look at the subjects offered.

Some Diploma in Computer Science are more multimedia based while others focus on programming. Some universities could have a diploma with a specialism in software engineering. You have to decide which area you want to focus on in your future career before choosing the college or university, if not, you will end up with a diploma but without the necessary knowledge and skills in Computer Science.
