The internationally-oriented curriculum will push forward their conceptual boundaries with exposure to global design practice through the travelling studio mode, where they will carry out projects in collaboration with universities overseas. Saito Design School

The Saito Design School at Saito University College offers a variety of disciplines, ranging from graphic, multimedia, interior and fashion design. The hands-on approach to many of our subjects creates opportunities for students to explore and discover the vast landscape of design. We teach the processes of creation with exposure to industry demand and trend.

Additionally, our Global Design Program was initiated to allow our students to experience the design industry globally with our partners like Bunka Fashion School, Japan. Students will also gain opportunities to receive educational lectures from international designers as well as to work on global projects with our international partners.

Education Pathway into the Graphic Design Degree at Saito University College

Students after SPM or IGCSE O-Levels who have at least 3 credits in can enter into the 2-year Diploma in Graphic Design. Upon completion of the diploma, you can then enter into Year 2 of the Bachelor of Design (Graphic Design) at Saito University College.

Alternatively, students who have 5 credits in SPM or IGCSE O-Levels who are unsure of which design course can choose the Foundation in Design for 1 year. Upon completion, you can then enter into Year 1 of either the Graphic Design or Digital Multimedia Degree at Saito.

Students who have completed a Foundation in Design or Pre-University programme can enter directly into Year 1 of the Graphic Design degree upon assessment.

Adobe Certification

You will be trained in design software by Adobe Certified Instructors (ACI). You can choose to take the Adobe Certification Exam during your study in Saito College to become an Adobe Certified Associate. Adobe Certification is recognised worldwide as the de facto Design Certification.

Internships for Graphic Design Students at Saito University College

Internship is compulsory within the academic curricular. It is the pre-arranged programme of student attachment with companies within the industry for 3-6 months period. Students will be awarded credits for the internship. Students benefit greatly from these internship attachments as they have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge into real life projects with the help of working professionals.

Saito has prepared comprehensive and advanced facilities for Saito students to not only make sure they enjoy their academic lives at Saito, but also provide the support and tools that will help them succeed in their studies.

The teaching facilities in Saito College consist of up-to-date MacLab and PC Labs, Art & Design studios, Canon EOS Photography Studio, Video Editing Suit and workstations. Besides that the college also provides wireless broadband internet in the library and within the college compound.
