Overview of the Interior Architecture Degree Course

This course is fully accredited by the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM). Through a variety of electives, you will gain pertinent insights into a range of interior design practices, which include exhibition design, furniture design, set and lighting design, and advertising and promotion.
You will have the opportunity to experience design and architecture first-hand through the School’s unique ‘Experiencing Culture’ course. You will also be encouraged to take part in live community projects and learn how to design to satisfy the needs of clients and to engage with cultural and societal aspirations.

What is the Education Pathway for Students after High School into the Interior Architecture Degree at UCSI University?

Students after SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels have 3 options to enter into the Interior Architecture degree programme at UCSI University.
First, students with at least 3 credits may enter into the 2.5 year Diploma in Interior Architecture and upon completion, continue on to Year 2 of the degree course.
Second, students may go for the Foundation in Arts (Architecture) for 1 year and then continue on to the Interior Architecture degree for another 3.5 years.
Final option for students after secondary school is that they may go for an external Pre-University Programme like the A-Levels, UEC, SACEi, AUSMAT, CIMP, etc. Students should have taken a subject in design during Pre-U. Students with the relevant results may enter into the degree programme.
