Education Pathway after Secondary School
Students after SPM or IGCSE/O-Levels who are interested to pursue the Mechanical Engineering degree programme at the University of Southampton Malaysia may go for the Engineering Foundation Year. Students will need at least 5As including Add Maths and Physics.

- IELTS 6.5 overall, minimum 6.0 in all components or Grade C in SPM 1119 English (cohort before 2021), SPM CEFR Level B2 or above (cohort from 2021 onwards), Grade C in GCSE English, Grade A in IGCSE English as a Second Language, B3 in UEC English or equivalent.
- IB English: 5 at Standard/Higher Level in IB English Language Syllabus A or 6 at Standard Level/5 at Higher Level in IB English Language Syllabus B.
