The Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Culinary Arts at UOWM KDU Penang is a 3-year programme recognised and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Students after SPM or IGCSE O-Levels with at least 3 credits including English may enter the Diploma in Professional Chef Training for 2.5 years and then upon completion enter into Year 2 of the degree for another 2 years.

SHTCA was recently awarded the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) Recognition of Quality Culinary Education program as an approved school. The WORLDCHEFS Recognition of Quality Culinary Education program seeks to recognize educational companies, culinary universities and institutions which offer culinary and pastry art programs of various design and size and meet or exceed global standards for quality culinary education as established by the WORLDCHEFS Education Committee.

It is a landmark program that officially recognizes high standards in Culinary Education and training by schools on an international level. SHTCA joins WORLDCHEFS to work toward improving culinary standards and education.
