Students after SPM or O-Levels who are sure of pursuing a career in interior design can go for the Diploma in Interior Design or Diploma in Interior Architecture course for 2.5 years before entering into Year 2 of the Interior Design or Interior Architecture degree. Students must meet the minimum entry requirements to enter the diploma programme at top private universities in Malaysia.

Entry Requirements for Diploma in Interior Design at the Best Private Universities & Colleges in Malaysia

Students after SPM or O-Levels in Malaysia wanting to know whether they qualify to enter into the Diploma in Interior Design or Interior Architecture may check the entry requirements below. However, the entry requirements for each university would differ and may change from time to time therefore please contact me and send me your results for evaluation for entry.
- Students with SPM or GCE O-Levels will need at least 3 credits or “C”s with passes in BM and Sejarah
- Students who have completed the Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Level 3 (related to Design) with at least 1 credit in SPM
- Students who have completed a Certificate in Design course that is recognised by Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia
- UEC students from Chinese Independent High Schools must have at least 3 “B”s
Other requirements may include
- pass the Art subject at SPM level or;
- attend and pass an Art Test which will be conducted by the university or;
- submit their own portfolio to the Head of Department for approval.
