- The Inventory of Sungai Buloh Leprosy Settlements, Selangor
- Chapel of St. Francis Institution, Malacca

Hock Wei, Architecture at UCSI University
Architecture is the art of designing the human built environment. Buildings are one of the most visible productions of man, and vary greatly in design, function, and construction implementation across the globe. The vision that Architects conceive is projected onto the society and the built environment in which they practice.
These conceptions and ideas will inadvertently have profound effects on the built environment, and consequently on the people who interact with that environment.
Architecture is, therefore, an art form, the learning of which requires professional practice, personal artistic development and technical knowledge of building.
The constant dialogue between society and the architect is what produces architecture – as a product and as well as a discipline.

IUKL and Taylor has the exact same subjects for the degree in architecture, so may i know what makes taylor better ? is it the lecturer ?
Thousands of secondary schools all have the exact same subjects for SPM, so what makes one a top school and the other not so good? Think about it
UTAR or IUKL is better?
Not sure. We are here to advise on which universities are best, not the cheapest
Does it mean that taylor is better because of its higher qs ranking in Asia and the master programme is recognized by the part 2 in LAM? Is there a huge difference between the educational experience?
I don’t really understand your question. Please whatsapp me at 01111408838 with your full name and IC number to discuss about this. Thanks.
Hi, I would like to ask if studying Architecture in South Korea is a good choice?
As long as it is recognised by the necessary professional bodies for practice, it should be ok
Hey I would like advise regrading my architecture course.
I am currently studying in Taylors University and I am very okay with all my architecture modules but I am having a lot of problems with Design Studio and yet it is apparently the most important of all modules.
I don’t really know what to do. Umm, earlier on I had thought of changing my course but I just deferred one semester then went on with it. Now onto my second semester again and I have a resubmission for my final studio project and I really had a hard time doing it in the first place.
I was thinking maybe changing universities, but I don’t even know of any near universities like maybe Sunway or Monash that offer architecture .
Could you please advise me ?
There aren’t many universities that are accredited by Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia, so your choices are limited. Best is just to stay on at Taylor’s.
HI, may I know if I own a diploma in interior design cert, am i eligible for entering degree in architecture course? and if yes, I may start in year 1 or year 2 of degree in architecture course?

Please scan and email your SPM Certificate, diploma transcripts, course outline and certificate to lonniesik@eduspiral.com together with your mobile number. I will submit your documents to the universities for exemptions and then will let you know which year you will enter into.
how to continue studies with architecture during after SPM?
Go for Foundation course, STPM or Diploma in Architecture
Iukl or ucsi which offers better teachings? Pros and cons?
UCSI University has won awards in their architecture programme. For more details, you may email me at info@eduspiral.com with your full name and mobile number.

Best are UCSI University and Taylors University
Terima Kasih.
Sorry, we only assist with IPTS.
What is the difference between university that accredited by PAM and LAM?
PAM does not accredit the degree course at a university, it is a Persatuan that architects join. LAM accredits the courses.
May I know does UCSI offer foundation program in architecture ?I have read brochures about UCSI ,but I basically have not seen it.Thank you and I hope to hearing from you soon.
Yes, they do have a Foundation in Arts programme leading into the Architecture degree. It is not specifically a Foundation in Architecture course.
it’s to go to architecture course .. we need to study LK subject which “lukisan kejuruteraan”..
Architecture is a tough course and not so simple
i hv received my spm result…and i wish to become an architect…well, since i didnt pass my spm with flying colors and also without art subject which is PSV…so i decided to study form 6…but it seems too risky while choosing uni after my stpm…so in your opinion, whats your suggestions? because many people ask me to study foundation…
STPM is extremely tough and if you are not prepared for it, you would not do well. Foundation is easier.
I think foundation provides a better benefit if you have decided to go for architecture after. in my case, i did foundation in art and design before and currently studying degree in architecture 1st year. Foundation had given me the necessary basic need of what it takes for an architecture course. while form 6 is yes, tough if it was not taken with preparation and might plus. foundation is shorter. just one year
I have received my spm result…and i wish to be an architect…well, since i didn’t pass my spm with flying colors and without art subject which is PSV…so im decided to study form 6…but it seems too risky while choosing uni after my stpm…so in your advice…whats your suggestions? cause too many people ask me to study foundation…
You may go for Diploma in Architecture or Foundation. But the Diploma will prepare you better to handle the degree programme
I would like to know if there is English courses in particularly with archticture terminology? Before going deeply with archticture study
None that I know of
i heard they said study physics give lots of help to study architecture, is it true? but i’m not a science student, so will it be tough for me to study?
Physics is not needed as a subject requirement for entry into architecture. Architecture in itself is a very tough course whether for science or arts students. As long as you have the passion, you can complete the course. For more details, you may email me at info@eduspiral.com with your full name and mobile number. And say the course you are interested in as well.
Please, as per other candidates in Malaysia, they would prefer to join INTI or Sunway universities that UCSI and Taylors as both of them having affiliate (Franchise) global agreement with UK-AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND USA CANADA..can you please, guide me in the offered Architecture Bsc and its equivalent to Architectural engineer or not? as i see that engineering department didn’t include Architecture BSc like some other countries.
The title is not important. As long as the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia recognises it as equivalent to Part 1 so that you can continue on to Part 2.
What about Limkokwing university? UCSI and Limkokwing university. Which is the better in terms of their architecture course?
UCSI University has won many awards in architecture such as below. If you want more information, you can email me at info@eduspiral.com with your full name and mobile number

Hello. I live in Thailand and am planning to obtain my Bachelor Degree in Architecture in Kuala Lumpur. I have read a lot about Taylor’s and UCSI. Based on the quality of the graduates, the courses taught, and the lecturers, which of these two university you would recommend to me? And yes I read that Taylor’s is good for the facilities but the tuition fees are considered high. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
I would say UCSI University. You can email me at info@eduspiral.com with your full name for more details.
Thank you so much. How about UCSI and LUCT? There is one website saying LUCT is the best architecture school to study in Malaysia. Thanks again.
It depends on which type environment you prefer and the location of the university as well. Both universities have won awards in architecture competitions.
am an hnd graduate, how do i get admitted wit my hnd result?
You have to submit the documents for evaluation for entry
what is the different between science architecture and architecture?
Not much. You look at the subjects
hi,
if compare to chemical engineering, people would say architecture salary will be much lower than engineering ones in begining. so do you agree with this ? and any idea on job satisfaction with architecture jobs nowadays because previously architecture job seen to be very high ?
thanks.
You need to improve your English a bit more because it is difficult to understand what you are trying to ask. If you study architecture or engineering and graduate with such English skills, you will not be able to have a high salary because your boss and the clients would not understand your reports. There is no research done on job satisfaction for architects in Malaysia so I don’t know where you get the idea that job satisfaction was high for architects previously. Salaries are high for both chemical engineering and architects if you possess the skills, knowledge, leadership and communication skills.

The entry requirements varies from university to university.
Taylor and UCSI which is better in architecture?
You have to compare the facilities, lecturers’ experience, awards won, reputation, accreditation and your budget.
If we only compare the “lecturers’ experience, awards won, reputation, accreditation”, which one you would recommend? Let alone the facilities and budget. Thanks.
UCSI University
City-u & usci which one better
Good for what? Please ask your questions clearly and specifically.
city u & UCSI, WHICH IS THE BEST IN ARCHITECTURE?
UCSI University. If you want more details, you can email me at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number.
UCSI and IUKL, which is the best?
UCSI is better. Send me an email at info@eduspiral.com.my with your full name and mobile number and I will send you the details.

i am currently interested in going to IUKL to do my degree. But i am not sure whether to chose either bachelor of science in architecture which take 3 years or bachelor of architecture which take 2 years to graduate. what do you reckon? please help.
You should check with the Persatuan Arkitek Malaysia to see if either is accredited by LAM Part 1, then choose the one that’s accredited.
ouh, thank you. btw what is the different between part 1 and part 2?
Part 1 is equivalent to degree. Part 2 is equivalent to Masters.
nvm got it. thanks 🙂
Hi, just a question to ask, do u provide any scholarship?
No
How is Taylor’s University compared to other’s in Malaysia?
Is ok but very expensive.
how about UTAR?
You should choose a university where the students communicate more in English so that you can improve your English language skills which is important for a successful career, especially in architecture.
Ermm…. ok~ but Utar is also one of the uni that accredited by the LAM rite? So the quality will also be guaranteed. Btw, the cost in Utar is much more cheaper than others.
Yes, if you cannot afford, then just go UTAR.
can you provide a list of good architecture schools in malaysia (private / semi-gov) that is omply with the latest requirements for accreditation by the Council of Architectural Accreditation & Education Malaysia (CAAEM), Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) .
