Undergraduate Specialisation

1. Primary Education
   • Primary Education specialisation develop teachers who are trained to teach English, Science, and Mathematics subjects at the primary level of schooling.
2. Business and Economics
   • Business and Economics specialisation helps develop teachers who are competent in delivering business and economics-related subjects at the secondary and post-secondary levels of education.
3. Teaching of English
   • Equip with practical knowledge and skills to teach a variety of English language programmes to linguistically and culturally diverse learners.
4. Early Childhood Education
   • This specialisation enables students to learn and practise methods to address the learning needs of young learners using a variety of curricula.

ASSISTANT LANGUAGE TEACHER

Undergraduates from Taylor’s School of Education are spreading their wings as Assistant Language Teachers (ALT) in Japan, in collaboration with the International Society of Educational and Cultural Exchange.    • Students are exposed to a 12-week practical teaching experience within a school system, whereby they will be guided by a mentor who will show them the ropes. During this time, students can design and critique lesson plans and teaching materials, present their materials in a classroom setting and put their classroom theories into practice.
