Program Structure for the Diploma in Graphic Design at Saito University College

Saito College’s two and a half years Diploma Course in Graphic Design provides you with instruction in a logical and easy-to-follow manner. It then teaches you to think out of the box and create your own solutions. You will graduate with the ability to apply your knowledge and skills in the workplace. You will learn to work in groups to complete projects and develop a better understanding of the mechanics in team work.

Adobe Certification

You will be trained in design software by Adobe Certified Instructors (ACI). You can choose to take the Adobe Certification Exam during your study in Saito College to become an Adobe Certified Associate. Adobe Certification is recognised worldwide as the de facto Design Certification.

Internships for Graphic Design Students at Saito College

Students after SPM or O-Levels can enter the Foundation in Art & Design for 1 year before continuing on to the Graphic Design degree at First City University College.

The 3-year BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree programme at First City University College covers core modules ranging from practical, theoretical work and continuous assessment.

Students will be able to demonstrate responsibility for managing their learning by evaluating their own progress and making autonomous
decisions. They will also be able to communicate verbal and visual ideas effectively and professionally in a manner appropriate to the set brief.

Intakes for the BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree programme at First City University College are in January and August for Year 1 and September for Year 2 entry.

The graduates of BA (Hons) Graphic Design will be able to:

  • Philips Lightover Challenge 2013 Winners – Julius Lok Juin Chern and Chiang Siew Leng
  • Gan Su Yi and Cheok Yi Chi won 2nd and 3rd prize respectively in the 2013 Bristol Student Design Competition organised by the leading and highly regarded furniture manufacturers in providing office furniture and seating- in collaboration with Majlis Rekabentuk Malaysia (MRM)

  • Thirteen of KBU’s graduands have bagged the First Class Honours degree awards in the field of Graphic Design, Interior Architecture and Design and Software Engineering, in which the degree programmes are conducted in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, UK. Chu Sze Yong (Interior Architecture & Design) graduate was presented the Student of the Year Award.
