The 2020 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results will be announced on June 10, 2021, according to the Education Ministry (MoE). The ministry, in a statement on Friday (June 4), said the candidates can obtain their results from their respective via online from 10.00am on that day.  For the first time in history, the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination results will be announced virtually for candidates from the 2020 cohort on June 10.

For private candidates, their results will be sent through the post, or they can contact the state education department where they registered for their examinations,” it said.

SPM candidates registered to sit for the examination on March 2021 after a delay because of the Covid Pandemic. A total of 401,105 students nationwide sat for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2020 examination while the country is still facing the Covid-19 pandemic, a situation which requires them to bring extra “shield”.

A total of 3,310 SPM examination centres were set up nationwide and disinfected in accordance with the guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council and the Ministry of Health.

A total of 48,014 examination invigilators were  on duty to ensure that the prescribed SOPs are fully complied with during the examination period scheduled that lasted until March 25, 2021.

The SPM 2020 candidates are also the group of students who had to go through the longest annual SPM class session of almost 14 months because the Covid-19 forced them to switch to online learning through applications such as Google Meet, Google Classroom and Skype.

After two rounds of postponement due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the SPM 2020 candidates finally sat for their exams this year, which comprised of 401,105 candidates in the first session (Feb 22-March 25) and 2,969 candidates in the second session (April 6-23).

How to Check for your SPM 2020 Results Online or Via SMS?

The results for the 2020 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination will be released on June 10, after 10am. Candidates are not allowed to go to school to collect their results and must instead obtain their results online after 10am tomorrow.

The Education Ministry, in a statement today, said students can check their results online at myresult1.moe.gov.my or myresult2.moe.gov.my or via short messaging system (SMS) by typing SPM 2020, followed by space and then their identity card number folowed by space and their SPM examination number (angka giliran) and send to 68886.

Consequently, the candidates will receive a list of their overall grades (eg: 1A+ 2A 2A- 3B 1C) from the ministry.

The SMS service will be available from 10am on June 10 until 6pm on June 17,” it said.

The full results, with the Examination Syndicate’s logo and a QR code, can be downloaded from myresult3.moe.gov.my, starting June 14.

The ministry said, schools will identify students without Internet access and inform them on the alternative means to obtain their results.

The District Education Office and Education Departments of the respective states will do the same for private candidates without Internet access.

The Education Ministry, in a statement today, said students can check their results online at myresult1.moe.gov.my or myresult2.moe.gov.my or via short messaging system (SMS) by typing SPM 2020, followed by space and then their identity card number folowed by space and their SPM examination number (angka giliran) and send to 68886.

Candidates can also check their results through SMS by sending it to SPM<jarak>NoKP,<jarak>Angka Giliran, and send to 68886 available from 10am on June 10 until 6pm June 17.

Students can also check via the Examination Board website at http://lp.moe.gov.my
