About 400,000 students will sit for the upcoming SPM exam beginning from February 20 to March 15 next year. The Jadual Waktu Peperiksaan SPM 2022 is below as released by the Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia. The first SPM Exam paper will begin on Monday February 20, 2023 and end on Wednesday March 15, 2023.
The SPM results will normally be released in mid-June and students may begin applying for universities for their intakes from July onwards. Students who want to have an early start may use their SPM Trial Results to apply for the April/May intakes for Pre-University Programmes or Diploma Programmes.

- 20 February – Bahasa Melayu Kertas 1 & 2 and Pendidikan Seni Visual 1
- 21 February – English Kertas 1 & 2
- 22 February – Pendidikan Islam 1 and Pendidikan Moral
- 23 February – Sejarah Kertas 1 & 2 and Sains Komputer 1
- 27 February – Pendidikan Seni Visual 2
- 28 February – Matematik 1 & 2 and Bible Knowledge
- 1 March – Sains 1 & 2 and Physics 1 & 2
- 2 March – Economics 1 & 2
- 6 March – Biology 1 & 2 and Perniagaan 1,2 & 4
- 7 March – Prinsip Perakaunan 1, 2 & 4
- 8 March – Chemistry 1 & 2 and Sains Tambahan 1 & 2
- 9 March – Bahasa Cina 1 & 2 and Bahasa Tamil 1 & 2
- 13 March – Matematik Tambahan 1 & 2
- 15 March – Kesusasteraan Inggeris/Cina/Tamil and Geography 1 & 2
