Entry Requirements for the Foundation in Science Leading to Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme at Taylor’s University

NOTE:
Students with the following entry qualifications are required to meet certain SPM pre-requisites:
- Diploma in Science/Pharmacy
- Matriculation in Science
- Pre-Medical studies or Pre-Pharmacy

The SPM pre-requisites are as follows:
- A pass in SPM / O Level or equivalent with 5Bs each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics / Additional Mathematics and another subject. SPM students will also need to attain a pass in History.
- Malaysian students are required to attain a credit in Bahasa Melayu and English.
- The minimum entry requirements may be subject to changes to meet the requirements of the Malaysian Pharmacy Board.
Entry Requirements into UCSI University Doctor of Medicine (MD) course
STPM / A-Levels (Other colleges) (Science stream)
Grade B in Chemistry, Biology & Maths. or Physics (All subjects must pass in one sitting)

Grade B3 in Chemistry, Biology & Maths. or Physics (All subjects must pass in one sitting)
UCSI Foundation in Science
Min. 3B in Chemistry (I & II), Maths (All), Biology (I & II) / Physics
Min CGPA 3.5 and above (All subjects must pass in one sitting.)
Local Matriculation / Pre-Medical Programme
CGPA 3.5 and above in Chemistry, Biology and Maths/Physics.
Other Qualifications (SAM / CPU / HSC)
85% in Chemistry, Biology and Maths/Physics.
SPM
For students after SPM and interested to enter into UCSI’s Foundation in Science leading into the MD programme, you must have a Min 4B for Maths, Additional
Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
English Requirements for the Medical programme at UCSI University
B+ in English 1119 / ‘O’ Levels, MUET Band 5, a score of 213 (computer-based), 550 (written-based), 79 – 80 (Internetbased) in TOEFL or Band 6 in IELTS
Entry requirements into the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) programme at UCSI University
A-Levels
3B or 2A1C or 1A1B1C in Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Maths with “B” in Chemistry. Malaysian students must pass Bahasa Melayu and English with Grade C in SPM or equivalent.
(With reference to the Score system of the Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS) carried out at United Kingdom for A-level result with score of A+ = 140, A=120, B=100 and C=80)
- 3B proposed by LFM is equal to the total score of 300 with B for Chemistry subject.
STPM
CGPA 3.00 and above with ‘B’ in Chemistry.
- Malaysian students must pass Bahasa Melayu and English with Grade C in SPM or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum Band 4 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
Matriculation or Pre-Study in Medicine and Pharmacy / Foundation in Science
CGPA 3.0 and above with minimum “B” in Chemistry. or
CGPA 3.5 and above with minimum B in Chemistry AND a Minimum 1 year of study
- Pass SPM with minimum 5B in Biology and Chemistry and Physic and Math (or Additional Math) and other one subject at School Certificate level or equivalent.
- Malaysian students must pass Bahasa Melayu and English with Grade C in SPM or equivalent.

Public Health Awareness Campaign at UCSI University All candidates directed into Year 1 will have to undergo an interview and a Chemistry quiz before being accepted into the programme.
- English Requirements: MUET – Band 4; TOEFL 570 (overall & in each section) to be obtained before admission.
- A Level students who sit for January exam to apply with actual results in March.

Students without IELTS or MUET can opt to sit for the Password English Test which is available only in IMU and must obtain the equivalent score required for IELTS. Students who have successfully enrolled using the Password English Test are still required to sit for MUET and (or) IELTS exam within the first year of their studies in IMU. This is ONLY applicable to those who are completing the entire degree in IMU, Malaysia. Please contact Admission Office for further details or to register for the test.
